Richard Mark Jordan
- Actor
- Casting Director
- Casting Department
Richard grew up between two forts: Fort Worth & Fort Lauderdale. Naturally an outcast in school, he found his voice doing theater from the age of 9, sometimes skipping class in high school to perform professionally. He spent his entire senior year of high living in France as an exchange student, upon his return to the states he moved to New York city to study at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Right out of school he landed a job as The Entertainer at Club Med in Ixtapa Mexico where he performed throughout the resort in interactive improv scenes, nightly shows, and hosting.
After Mexico he went back to New York where he has been ever since. Right away he landed a day job as a bike tour guide through Central Park while pursuing his acting career. In 2006 he was hired as comedic host and segment producer on one of the first professional internet TV shows, Vidocity, from the creators of Inside Edition. Around 2010 he got into casting commercials, music videos, short films and even a few features appearing at SXSW, Tribeca, Sundance, Slamdance, among others. He has been a judge, speaker panelist, or moderated Q&A's for New Orleans Film Fest, Santa Fe International Film Fest and the Bushwick Film Fest.
From 2012-2014 he co-found and managed the highly popular honky tonk country blues band Jumbo Brown with a weekly residence at Skinny Dennis in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, producing two albums, a tour through the South and Western Europe. During this time he was also recruiting directors and launching commercial careers for filmmakers with advertising agency Mofilm.
For the last decade or so he's been developing a nice career as a comedic, character actor.
