The Xeno only appears right at the end of the teaser (and at a distance), but it appears to have retained the classic look of the iconic creature for the most part.
During a new interview with Collider, Hawley explained why he was hesitant to deviate too much from the original design, and "didn't want to mess with the silhouette of the creature at all.”

After various teaser promos and social media spots, FX has finally unveiled the full trailer for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth.
Set two years prior to the events of Ridley Scott's classic, this first ever Alien series will introduce a new form of synthetic hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness), and the trailer begins with a terminally ill young woman transitioning into the body of Sydney Chandler's character, Wendy.

Happy Alien Day!
Two new teasers for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth have been released online. One spotlights the gestation cycle of a Xenomorph (in graphic detail), while the other reveals that the iconic acid-blooded beasts are not the only extraterrestrial threat our planet will face in the series!
According to the voiceover, “five different lifeforms from the darkest corners of the universe — each one a unique, deadly species” were chosen to bring back to Earth for study (never a good idea).
We don't get a proper look at the other lifeforms in the crates, but this doesn't sound like five different variations or subspecies of Xenomorph. A group of brand-new alien creatures would certainly prove to be an intriguing and unexpected addition to this series.
Check out the promos below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
Incoming report from Weyland-Yutani: Critical Gestation Complete.

Following some brief promos, FX has finally released a full teaser for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth, which begins with the first clip from the upcoming sci-fi horror series.
The footage finds a man sitting in a very Nostromo-esque control room as his crewmate desperately tries to convince him to open the door and let her in. The woman then turns to face whatever has been stalking her, and we get a first look at one of the show's Xenomorphs on the attack.
Hawley has hinted that the series will introduce a new breed of the iconic creature, though it's difficult to make out any significant changes to the classic design here.
As the Xeno dispatches its victim, the man - possibly the ship's android - tells the computer that the crew is dead. Though we don't know for sure, we assume this is what remains of the crew of the Uscss Maginot,...

There are quite a few classic Alien callbacks here, including very familiar computer sounds, garbled transmissions, interiors that look quite a bit like the Nostromo from Ridley Scott's film, and a cat that could very easily pass for Jonesy.
The first clip begins with a crew member fixing a camera to the cat's head, and our new feline friend ends up recording some kind of red alert event that sends the crew into a panic. When a movie refers repeatedly to David Foster Wallace’s “Infinite Jest”, a notoriously difficult-to-read novel, it is bound to follow a non-linear path, which is exactly what “Ex-Wife Monogatari” does, in a somewhat experimental short, which lingers, though, towards genre conventions.
Ming, a painter, is experiencing a debilitating grief after his wife Li has passed away during a miscarriage. To fill the void inside him, he seeks the company of other women, a number of which are eager to “help”. However, his trauma remains and the memories of his wife continue to torment him, to the point that he tries to manipulate each woman she meets to be exactly like her. Eventually, he meets Hong at a funeral, a woman who looks and acts like Li, and who is soon revealed to foster another “fetish”, of only being loved when she pretends to be someone else. As the childhoods...

Closing out its third (and possibly final) season tonight, Noah Hawley’s Fargo has always been marvelously specific with its characters, and particularly its villains. From Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton)’s bizarre bowl cut in Season 1 to V.M. Vargas (David Thewlis)’s rotten teeth in Season 3, the series makes surprising visual choices that defy understanding and elicit conversation. [Editor’s Note: The review below contains spoilers for “Fargo” Season 3, Episode 7, “The Law of Inevitability.”]
Immediate Reaction
Who the heck is that dude wearing a wolf head?
Pardon our lapse in Minnesotan manners, but the ending of a brief but slow-moving “Fargo” threw us for a bit of a loop. It looks like Yui (Goran Bogdan), Varga’s henchman, but the dark lighting of our computer monitors isn’t the only reason we’re not 100 percent certain. If we hadn’t seen the face of the man who dropped into Nikki Swango’s (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) overturned prisoner transport bus, we would’ve left things at this: The wolf is a symbol repeatedly used for Varga (David Thewlis) throughout Season 5. In Episode 4, Billy Bob Thornton narrated a “symphonic fairy tale” where Varga played the wolf. Episode 5 ended with an ominous shot of a wolf’s head, meant to encapsulate Varga’s looming power as much as it foreshadows what’s to come.
With that in mind,...

The fifth episode of “Fargo,” “The House of Special Purpose,” ends with the most harrowing scene to come out of Season 3 so far. Though the show has already had a couple of murders, it’s the first time the menace of Varga (David Thewlis) and his goons, Yuri (Goran Bogdan) and Meemo (Andy Yu), has become really frightening. Halfway through Season 3 of “Fargo,” things are shifting from a series of coincidences and misunderstandings into something much more dangerous for all involved.
