Biography

Carie Kawa is a Los Angeles-based actress who has most recently appeared in the Peacock series Joe vs Carole (2022) and Amazon Prime's drama series The Wilds (2022). Carie's anchoring lead performance in the supernatural cult-horror film While Mortals Sleep (2022) attracted attention when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She's also known for bringing her unique point of view to popular dramas like Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere (2020) and Ryan Murphy's Ratched (2020) for Netflix, as well as comedic roles in Jim Carey-led Showtime comedy-drama series Kidding (2020), and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2020) on NBC. Praised by The New Yorker Magazine as "beguiling" and by Backstage as "electrifying," Carie's theater chops earned her an MFA from The Academy for Classical Acting in Washington, D.C., and two national tours with The Acting Company, a Tony Award Honoree.
