    • Amy "Catfox" Campion tells stories with dance that empower and liberate. She is a director, choreographer, film maker, performer, activist, and educator. Her work tells stories through an interplay of dance, theater, film, poetry, graffiti art, and music. Through a collaborative creative process, Campion partners with performers to create choreography that is both virtuosic and expressive. Her work activates the innate capacity of Hip-Hop art forms to advocate for positive social change. Campion's experience spans two decades and includes multiple dance styles, most prominently, Breaking, Hip-Hop, and Capoeira. Campion is the director of Memphis Jookin' the Show featuring Lil' Buck. The New York Times called it "...sincere entertainment, packed with talent and heart." From 2007 to 2020, Campion founded and directed Antics, a multimedia hip-hop dance theater company that performed extensively throughout Los Angeles and toured nationally and internationally. Campion graduated from UCLA's Department of World Arts and Cultures with an MFA in Choreography in 2006. She is a faculty member at California State University Long Beach Dance Department and holds the rank of Contra-Mestre with Capoeira Batuque.
