An actor at heart, a director in spirit and fantastical alternate universe lover also known as a comic book geek, Joanna Bronson of Colombian/Iberian/Native American descent was born and raised in Miami, Florida where her life was centered on the creative arts. This led her to New York City to study at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology with a focus in costume design. She then interned on set with the costume department of "Canvas" starring Marcia Gay Harden and Joe Pantoliano.

She continued her degree in film-making and animation at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. During her completion of her major she began taking classes at the Michigan Actors Studio, and an intensive at Jeff Daniel's Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea Michigan and Shakespeare at the Community College of Dearborn, MI. After acting on several film productions including the Indie Horror sensation "It Follows" directed by David Robert Mitchell and working on stage in the Michigan theatre circuit, Joanna landed in Los Angeles, CA.

Joanna has simultaneously pursued her career of acting while also directing and producing productions created by her studio A. Whole Productions.

She co-directed and starred in the series "Struggleing" which was in the running for two Emmy nominations in 2018. As co-creative director of A. Whole Productions she has created over 100 videos of self-made content including comedic pilots, action and dramatic independent films. She produced and starred in "Silence" opposite Denise Blasor which received IMDB Shorts award for "Best Acting Duo" and "Best Dramatic Short". She co-directed and starred in TV pilot "Assisted Living" that won "Best Comedy Short" and directed "Hard Knocks" that won "Best Dramatic Action Short".

As her company grows she is dedicated to providing upcoming talented actors mentoring through her production company as well as employing a minimum of 70% women.

Her life's work has always been anchored in the arts. She claims, "All of these random art journeys have made me wonderfully awkward. After working in several different facets I found that performance art was where I belonged. If I just keep creating, I will always be happy. "
