Bassem Qahar is an Iraqi Australian actor and director. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Theatre in 1985. He began his career in 1986 through theatre, as he participated in many plays and television series. In 2008, he directed his first play, Arabia. He followed it by directing many other plays, including Kahrab, as well as Drunken Days. His TV credits include Kings of Sects (2005), Lifelong Friend (2014) and The Deep State (2022).
