Drag Race RuCap: Time to play the "Snatch Game"
Image
Alyssa and this talking buttplug were more entertaining than some of the season 17 queens.

CLÁUDIO Alves: Last week, we had the “Let’s Get Sea Sickening” ball. This week, the season 17 girls face another classic RuPaul’s Drag Race challenge in the form of Snatch Game. Sadly, the results weren’t as strong across the board, even if the cast stayed clear of an outright disaster à la season 14. And even if, in an unprecedented move, someone was told they bombed the thing and still placed on top. Madness, Rigga Morris, favoritism the house down boots. No wonder they invited Alyssa Edwards to guest-star! That said, this was still a fun hour of reality TV. These bitches keep bringing the drama and old-school messiness, keeping the whole thing feeling more alive and vital than it has in years.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars’ Is Finally Here & Features The Return Of Alyssa Edwards
Image
We’re gonna let you in on a little secret. Some of the best seasons of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” are not appearing on MTV or Paramount+ or screening. And while Season 16 was utterly superb and we stan the runways of some of the current “All Stars” queens, there has been some shockingly good “Drag Race” occurring outside of American television. International franchises such as “Drag Race France” (the new gold standard), “Drag Race Mexico” (an impressive second season), “Drag Race España” (consistently excellent), “Drag Race U.K.” (full of stars crossing over the Atlantic), and “Drag Race Phillippines” (the current definition of “that’s wild”) are just a few of the reasons why.

This week the queens competed in “The Paint Ball,” walking the runway in three categorized looks: “Monochromatica,” “Drag Imitates Art,” and a third original creation that they had to design and hand paint from scratch. Prior to RuPaul Charles announcing the official top two performers of the week next to earn the coveted Beautiful Benefactress Badges, they gathered backstage to reflect on the fashion-focused challenge.

Jorgeous was relieved that the judges didn’t go harder on her because she was very unsure about her three choices, but Plastique Tiara said that...

How DaVonne Rogers Is a Wildcard on The Goat
Image
For two straight episodes, The Goat was tongue-in-cheek campery. When the Untalented Show challenge displayed a super strategic side of Da'Vonne Rogers, some players didn't take too kindly to Da'Vonne not playing fun and fair. With a resume filled with multiple Big Brother and The Challenge seasons, Da'Vonne is playing a serious game alongside reality stars who just want to have fun, and maybe win some money at the end. Da'Vonne showed her threat level by orchestrating the throwing of a challenge in order to vote out her new rival, Justin Johnson aka Alyssa Edwards. Her plan completely backfired and now the rest of the house is looking at her differently. DaVonne has found a third straight reality series to overplay. Players gonna play!

We Shouldn't Be Surprised The GOATs All-Woman Alliance Failed
Image
The second episode of The Goat celebrated the messy shows of Bravo. Through hilarious nods to some of the iconic moments in Bravo history, the players got to pretend they were Bravolebrities. While Bravo was the focus of the episode, with the Bravo Relay Race leading to a tight finish, the episode was centered around the formation of an all-woman alliance. With Grocery Store Joe Amabile from The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars and Justin Johnson aka Alyssa Edwards from RuPaul's Drag Race as the only men on the losing team, personal alliances and friendships took priority over the short-lived alliances when The Bachelor star Tayshia Adams spilled the beans about the alliance to her Bachelor Nation friend Joe. In the end, at the Ultimation, Bachelor Nation lost one of their own as a result. Whether it's Big Brother or Survivor, an all-woman alliance rarely ever succeeds. Guess the herd didn't do their homework!
