Sean Crampton is an award-winning actor, writer, and improviser born and raised in California. He stars as "Woodman," a veteran battling PTSD in the psychological action film The Stalking Fields (Gravitas, 2024), and appears in Steve Pink's The Wheel (Hulu), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
He recently produced and co-starred in Good Bad Things (Hulu, 2025), Iamerica (Dances With Films, 2025) and Helmet (Dances With Films, 2023), while also earning Best Lead Actor honors for his performance in Richard Peter Johnson, a mockumentary feature he co-wrote and produced. The film went on to win 11 festival awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor at the Playhouse West Film Festival.
Sean has appeared in films for Amazon (Spider), Netflix (The Debt Collector), and alongside directors like Jesse V. Johnson, James Franco, and Desmon Heck. He trained under Jeff Goldblum, Robert Carnegie, and Sandy Marshall, and is a veteran of the Los Angeles improv scene with over 1,000 live shows at UCB, Second City, iO West, and with his long-running team Gibbon's Tail.
In addition to acting, Sean helps emerging filmmakers through his online community, Rebel Filmmaking. He is an avid surfer, reader, and lifelong student of film.
