Despite the Indian government’s initial reluctance to negotiate with terrorists, the officials managed to bring the passengers back to India safely. Anubhav Sinha’s Ic-814 plays like an intense thriller that realistically captures the ordeal hostages went through. Captain Devi Sharan has also written a book titled “Flight Into Fear: A Captain’s Story,” where he has spoken about his experience on the hijacked flight and all that he had to endure when he was stuck in the cockpit with a gun pointed at his head. Most of the things shown in the series pertaining to Captain Devi Sharan actually happened in real life. Vijay Verma has portrayed the character of Captain Devi Sharan on screen. Considering Vijay Verma’s character is being treated as the protagonist, I felt a little disappointed after watching the series, as his character was not at all fleshed out.

The Kandahar Hijack is often cited as an example of the failure of Indian diplomacy during a crisis. The delayed decision-making, the fear of taking on the onus, and the lack of a clear vision resulted in the loss of an innocent life and a seven-day-long hijack of Indian Airlines Flight 814. An Indian adaptation of a Spanish drama series exploring societal hierarchy in the intersection of caste, class and privilege among students in a fictional school set in the heart of capital Delhi has kicked up a buzz on social media.

Netflix India’s Cla, the Hindi adaptation of the hit Spanish series Elite, follows the lives of three working-class students – Neeraj, Sabha, and Balli – who win scholarships to attend one of New Delhi’s most prestigious schools.

After the murder of a wealthy child named Suhani, excitement quickly turns to dread as they find themselves caught in a web of class warfare, secrets, and betrayal.

While the series is familiar to Elite, it addresses a variety of controversial issues that students in urban India face. From the get-go, Cla dives into the issues of Islamophobia, queer repression, abortion, bigotry, religious dogma, and the socioeconomic and cultural differences between people from different caste structures.

The Spanish series Elite has its remake, in this case, from India with Class, a series directed by Ashim Ahluwalia who tells us the story of three students from a poor district in Delhi who go to study in an elitistic high school in town, with the subsequent conflicts, adventures and murders.

New Delhi, Jan 18 (Ians) The Sports Ministry on Wednesday sought an explanation from the Wrestling Federation of India (Wfi) “within the next 72 hours”, after Olympian wrestler Vinesh Phogat levelled serious allegations of sexually harassing female wrestlers against the sports body’s coaches and chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The Asian Games and Commonwealth Games gold medallist broke down while speaking to reporters on Wednesday, as more than 30 wrestlers, including Olympic medallists Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia, staged a protest at the Jantar Mantar here.

Vinesh said she was subjected to mental harassment by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, adding that she had even contemplated suicide.

“Adhyaksh (Wfi President) and a few coaches in the national camp have sexually exploited female wrestlers,” she said.

Mollywood history has been made with its launch in Metaverse of the ’19th century’ trailer. A 3D space for the trailer launch has been prepared in Metaverse in relation to the story environment of this historical film.

Directed by Vinayan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies, this big budget film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan.

The event began with director Vinayan and Gokulam Gopalan talking about the film at a function organised in a royal palace. Thereafter, the palace’s durbar hall was turned to a big-screen movie theatre and the trailer was also shown on this screen.

As part of the Metaverse launch, Vinayan, lead actor Siju Wilson, executive producer Krishnamurthy, cameraman Shajikumar and actor Vishnu Vinayan participated in the function held at Kochi.
