Marcie is founder of Frank & Lively, the independent London-based production company that produced the BAFTA nominated feature, Apostasy. A labour of love, Marcie began developing Apostasy in 2013 alongside Daniel Kokotajlo, Charlotte Wise and Mike Elliot (EMU Films). Through iFeatures, Marcie solely led Apostasy through to the green-light stage, with funding awarded by BFI, Creative England, BBC, and Oldgarth Media. Garnering critical acclaim, Marcie's first feature went on to earn over 20 international awards, including six BIFAs. In 2018, the film was awarded Best First Screenplay by the Writer's Guild of GB (Daniel Kokotajlo), Best Newcomer by London Critics Circle (Molly Wright), and Best British Film of the Year by Screen International. In 2018, Marcie was nominated as Best Debut Producer by the British Independent Film Awards, as well as Best Producer by the National Film Awards (with Andrea Cornwell). In 2017, Marcie was named 'One to Watch' on Campaign's Future Female List. Her short film work has garnered over 35 international award nominations, and multiple wins.
