- His mother is actress Aki Mizusawa and his father is businessman and voiceover actor Guy Cihi. They divorced in 1993.
- Resides in New York City but also spends time in Tokyo, Japan.
- Attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where he majored in theater arts and international relations. He also received a scholarship to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting program, where he further honed his theater training, receiving an MFA.
