Biography

Andra Nechita is a Romanian-born actress known for her work in both television and film. Born in Onesti, Romania, to parents Lenuta and Doru Nechita, she developed a passion for the arts early on, initially drawn to singing. At the age of five, her family relocated to Dublin, Ireland, where she learned English and fell in love with movies, often escaping into films after school.

At nine, Andra moved with her family to Los Angeles. Encouraged by her parents to take an acting class to break out of her shell, she quickly discovered a passion for acting. Within months, she had mastered reading, writing, and speaking English fluently, refining an American accent along the way. She continued training and soon landed her first feature film role in Bad Teacher (2011) alongside Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, and Justin Timberlake. Shortly after, she appeared in How I Met Your Mother (2005), reuniting once again with Jason Segel, followed by roles in Cats Dancing on Jupiter (2011), Kara: An Unofficial Star Wars Film (2016), and Inhumans (2017).

In 2020, Andra earned a B.A. in Communications from UCLA, graduating Cum Laude with a double minor in Anthropology and Music Industry.

She has since starred in FBI: International (2021), Liaison fatale (2023), The Sex Lives of College Girls (2021), Matlock (2024) opposite Kathy Bates, and LD Entertainment's upcoming thriller Bone Lake (2024), which premiered at Fantastic Fest, the 57th Sitges Film Festival, and Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
