Jay Dee Walters was born in Houston, Texas, to Joe D. Walters and Floye M. Walters. Raised in a lively household with four brothers-Jeff, Joseph, Jeremy, and Tim-and one sister, Diana, Jay's early life was rooted in strong family bonds and big dreams. His journey truly began in the lush landscapes of Honduras, Central America, where he met his high school sweetheart, Karla. The two have now been happily married for over 34 years and are the proud parents of Isabella and Brandon Walters.
A multi-talented creative force in the independent film world, Jay has made his mark as an actor, writer, director, producer, and technology entrepreneur. In addition to his creative pursuits, he is the founder of a thriving technology company that has been in business for over 30 years.

As a writer, Jay co-penned the holiday hit Grumpy Old Santa alongside Justin Chaffee, and has continued writing with Porch Pirates, Pickleball, and the faith-based drama The First Martyr currently in development.
Jay stepped behind the camera for his directorial debut with Grumpy Old Santa, starring Glenn Morshower, Kevin P. Farley, and Gary Valentine. The heartfelt Christmas comedy introduced audiences to Jay's vision as a director and cemented his place in the indie filmmaking space.
He has also served as executive producer on several films, including Blind Turn, Chasing Ghosts, Cecil, Grumpy Old Santa, Porch Pirates, and Pickleball, under his East Texas-based production company Ichthys Films-also known as Pine Line Studios.
Jay continues to develop projects that blend humor, heart, and hope. He currently resides in East Texas, drawing creative inspiration from the communities and landscapes around him. Whether on set or at home with family, Jay remains dedicated to telling stories that matter.
