Born in Narva, Estonia, but grew up in the city of Kohtla-Järve. He comes from a family with Russian, Ukrainian, and German roots. Made his debut in school theater. Since childhood, he wrote poetry, short stories, and scripts. In high school, he was a frequent participant in theater festivals. After graduation, he returned to Narva, where he studied to become a teacher and psychologist at the university while also performing in theater.
In 2007, he made his directorial debut, staging a play based on his own script. Over the following years, he received numerous theater awards as both an actor and director. For example, he was named Best Comedy Performer in Belarus at the "Molodezhny Kufar" festival for his role in his own production The Last Madness, based on Neil Simon's California Suite.
Around the same time, he began shooting his first short films with friends-mostly parodies of well-known genres. Without completing university, he moved to Russia to study theater at SPbGATI in Saint Petersburg. Two years later, he moved to Moscow and studied film directing at VGIK.
He has played over 120 roles in film, advertising, and theater. Until 2022, he lived and worked in Russia, but after the aggression toward Ukraine, he moved to the United States and later returned to Estonia. He is a theater director and actor, founder of Theater "A," which tours successfully around the world. In 2024, he released the hit production Banquet in Paris.
