Heather Siess (Heather Lynn Anderson) was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on March 20, 1984.

She is the daughter of actress & photographer, Ana Anderson, & Kenneth Wayne Anderson Jr. She is the step-daughter of actor, Craig Pruitt and sister to artist, Ashtyn Anderson. She is of Scottish, Swedish, & Hispanic descent. Heather lived in Midwest City, OK until she was 19 years old. Her parents divorced when she was 5, while her mother was studying theatre at the local community college. This is where her mother met her step-father, Craig Pruitt. Heather quite literally grew up in the theatre. From the time Heather was about 6 years old, her mother would take her and her sister with her to her college rehearsals in the evenings. Heather and her sister would stay backstage and play pretend in the dressing rooms with various costumes and props while their mother would rehearse. It was a 6-year-olds dress-up dream. They even had an air mattress backstage they were supposed to sleep on, so as to get to bed on time. After her mother's rehearsals would end, Anderson & Pruitt would carry the sleeping girls to the car, drive home & tuck them into bed. Siess grew up constantly being in the theatre, accompanying her parents to various rehearsals and attending dozens of her parents' university & community theatre shows.

Heather has been a performer since she was a child. She began taking dance & gymnastics in 2nd grade. She also wanted to be a model, so her mom enrolled her in an acting class at Fullerton Acting & Modeling. She has always enjoyed acting, but as a child, singing was her first love. She took vocal lessons for 4 years and performed in Show Choir from 5th-12th grade. She dabbled in and out of theatre during this time auditioning for community musical theatre shows & scoring several leading roles in various school plays from elementary to high school.

Later, while attending college Heather found it very difficult to decide on a major. There were so many things she wanted to do and found it hard to choose only one option. Siess changed her major several times going from nursing to business, to dental hygiene, to theatre. During this time, Heather married Matthew Siess in June of 2007 and they had their first child, Halle, in September of the same year.

After the birth of her first child, Siess finally settled on a General Studies degree where she concentrated on theatre, humanities, creative writing, & psychology. After receiving her bachelor's degree in 2010 from the University of Central Oklahoma, Heather went on to earn a Masters in Applied Behavioral Studies (counseling) at Oklahoma City University in 2012. She graduated with High Honors.

During the course of her college career, Heather began acting for the camera & signed with the top agent in Oklahoma. She began getting work immediately, acting in local commercials, industrials & doing print work all while attending college and raising a young baby. Heather immediately fell in love with acting for the camera and began pursuing small roles in films.

After graduating with her Master's Degree she went to work with students as an Admissions Counselor in the graduate college at the University of Central Oklahoma. Although Siess loved working with the students, she couldn't stand being away from her daughter all day and wanted to pursue acting full-time. Her husband, Matthew, encouraged her in her endeavors and in late 2013, Heather began the transition to acting full-time. Heather kept busy continuing to land local & regional commercials and industrials, modeling for print and fashion shows & doing voice over work.

In 2015, Heather became pregnant with her 2nd child, Miles, who was born in May of 2016. She continued with commercials and print work while she was pregnant and returned to the camera shortly afterwards. After 16 years together, Heather and Matthew made the decision to go their separate ways. Their marriage ended in October of 2016.

In 2017, Siess signed with an agent in Dallas and also began filming various indie films where she has scored many leading roles. In 2018, Siess won Best Actress in a Short Film at the Fly Film Festival in Enid, Oklahoma. That same year she filmed a national spot for USPS & also modeled in a national print campaign for AT&T. In late 2019, Heather landed the role of Mrs. Tate in the SAG film What Josiah Saw, earning her SAG eligibility.
