Orly Agai Marley is a successful entrepreneur and music manager. Born in Israel before moving to Los Angeles at just fourteen years old, Orly graduated from California State University-Long Beach and started her professional career as a junior assistant at leading talent agency, William Morris Endeavor.
Working in the contemporary music department under Senior Vice President John Marx, Orly was promoted a mere three years in after noticing an unserved opportunity at the veteran company. "William Morris had the largest and most successful commercial department in the industry, but no one dealt with endorsements and sponsorships for musicians," she notes. Her initiative led to the creation of a new position within the company. As Director of Talent Sponsorships, Orly closed a number of worldwide endorsement and sponsorship deals for A-list music acts and actors, including Enrique Iglesias, Black Eyed Peas, Salma Hayek, Ray Charles, Queen Latifah, Willie Nelson, Juanes, Luis Miguel, Aretha Franklin, and many others. In 2004 and 2006, she conceptualized and produced the "Bob Marley: Roots Rock Reggae" tour across the U.S. alongside the Marley Family.
After thirteen years at William Morris, Orly took over management for her husband-Emmy and eight time GRAMMY-winning reggae icon Ziggy Marley-and together they built a record label, Tuff Gong Worldwide, and music publishing company, Ishti Music, accomplishing their vision to make Ziggy a fully independent artist. In 2012, she was instrumental in the marketing, PR and promotional campaign for the critically praised Bob Marley documentary film MARLEY (Shangri-La Entertainment / Magnolia Pictures), which Ziggy executive produced. She also created the recurring Legends of Reggae Festival - headlined by Ziggy with featured special guests The I-Threes, Toots & The Maytals, Maxi Priest, Freddie McGregor and Bob Andy.
When not overseeing promotion of her husband's acclaimed worldwide tours and executive producing his multiple GRAMMY-winning albums, the now-mother-of-four has found passion in developing entertainment for families to enjoy together. Beginning in 2009 with the critically-acclaimed I Love You Too children's book, she went on to associate produce The Disney Reggae Club album - featuring recordings by Ziggy Marley, Matisyahu, Steel Pulse, UB40 and others - in 2010, the Ziggy Marley & Family Cookbook in 2016, and three more children's books: My Dog Romeo; Music Is in Everything; and Little John Crow, which she co-wrote. Getting back to her celebrity endorsement roots, she also developed a new collaboration with One Farm by WAAYB to create a complete line of organic, superfood pet supplements and treats under the Ziggy Marley Apawthecary moniker, inspired by the family's love for their dog Romeo. And most recently, she Executive Produced 'Bob Marley: One Love', now the fifth-highest grossing music biopic of all time.
