Jason Koch is an accomplished director, writer, and producer known for his unique dark voice and macabre creative vision. Born in Baltimore, Jason began his career as a special effects artist in the film industry, working in both film and television.
He graduated from the tv and film program at UCLA, where he honed his skills and developed his unique screenwriting style.
After two decades of running his East Coast special effects business, Jason turned his attention to directing and writing. In the last decade, he has written, produced, and directed three feature films and four short films, including "Lamplight" and "HIDE." Jason released his first feature, 7th Day, in 2013 and followed it with "Pig Pen" in 2015. Both toured film festivals, receiving many nominations and awards. The cult notoriety of both films leads to Jason's making his third feature, Beneath the Black Veil (2019). All three features and his ABCs of Death Short all received distribution and are currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Tubi.
As a filmmaker, Jason has worked for National Geographic, The History Channel, Investigation Discovery, AMC, CBS 60 Minutes, and on some notable independent films like "V/H/S 2" and "Troma's Return to Nuke 'Em High."
