Billy Hough, born in Bakersfield, CA, is an American actor, writer, and musician. He is best known for his show "Scream Along with Billy" which he performs with his partner, bassist Susan Goldberg. Hilton Als in "The New Yorker" (Aug 8, 2008) called the show "poignant and beautiful" and Hough "mesmerizing." The show was hatched at Enzo in Provincetown, MA, in 2006, and has since become as staple of the New York City underground music scene. This is where Billy caught the attention of director Oren Moverman, who cast Billy as himself in "Rampart(2011)". Three of Billy's performances were used in the film and appear on the film's soundtrack (Lakeshore Records, 2012), including one of his original songs, "Venice."

He was first discovered by writer/director Stephen Winter (IV) who cast Billy as 'Tony' in "Death is Lame(short)", in 2011. Billy again contributed an original song, "If I Loved You More" for the "Death is Lame" soundtrack. He also composed "Love Theme from 'Daniel'" for director Alain Furcajg's film "Daniel (2010)".

Billy is the lead singer of the punk band, GarageDogs, with his brothers Paul Hough and Matt Hough. All six of the GarageDogs' LPs, as well as "Scream Along with Billy: The Album" were released by the brothers' own label, GarageDog Records.

He is a founding member of the Gold Dust Orphans Theatrical Company of Boston, MA, where he has written (with lyricist and playwright Ryan Landry) the scores to seven original musicals, including "Joan of Arkansas" (2000) and "Cinderella Rocks" (2005).
