His TV credits include a major recurring role as tabloid journalist Grant Smoltz on ABC's General Hospital and co-starring roles on FX's Dave, Amazon's Hunters, and Peacock's Angelyne. His recent feature film credits include Deer Camp '86, Shakey Ground, and The Comic Shop. David credits his father Ben Lautman for inspiring him to become an Actor. Ben is most known for appearing in the original Broadway production of HAIR from 1970-1974.

David acted in the sold out Off-Broadway tour of "Pulp Shakespeare" (A reimagining of Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" as if written by William Shakespeare, set in Elizabethan England). The tour began in Los Angeles and finished in New York City. The show was blessed to play in many beautiful theatre's including the historic Cherry Lane Theatre in The West Village and SoHo Playhouse in SoHo, NY.
