Exclusive: Prime Video drama series Bosch: Legacy is adding 5 to its recurring cast for Season 3: Andrea Cortés (Mayans M.C.), Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble), Orla Brady (Freud’s Last Session), Michael Reilly Burke (Ted Bundy) and Dale Dickey (Winter’s Bone).

Season 3 of Bosch: Legacy, currently in production, is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels Desert Star (2022) and The Black Ice (1993). The murder investigation of Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman) brings dangerous secrets to light and threatens to ruin the lives of our three principal characters. The disappearance of a family haunts Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) and forces him to confront the limits of justice. In a hotly contested race, Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) is poised to become the next District Attorney of Los Angeles. Loosely based on Michael Connelly’s The Crossing, Season 2 of the Titus Welliver-led Freevee series pics up right where Season 1 left off, with Harry’s daughter (played by Madison Lintz) having been abducted by the lucha libre mask-wearing man we saw hiding in her closest at the close of the freshman finale.

Today, Amazon Freevee released the teaser for the highly anticipated second season return of the hit drama, Bosch: Legacy. The second season picks up with the Season One cliffhanger, following a masked assailant abducting Madeline “Maddie” Bosch (Madison Lintz). The first two episodes of the new season will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the U.S., UK, Germany, and Austria beginning on October 20, with two additional episodes available each Friday through November 18. The series will also be available day-and-date as an Amazon Original in 35 other territories around the world via Prime Video. It's about time we got a resolution to the cliffhanger at the end of Bosch: Legacy Season 1.

Freevee announced today that Bosch: Legacy Season 2 will premiere Friday, October 20, 2023.

Four new episodes will be available on the release date, followed by two each week through November 10.

The series will also be available day and date as an Amazon Original in 35 other territories around the world via Prime Video.

Bosch: Legacy follows Harry Bosch, a retired homicide detective turned private investigator, as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

Also along for the ride is attorney Honey "Money" Chandler, who struggles to maintain her faith in the justice system after surviving an attempted murder.

Maddie Bosch is also front and center as she discovers the possibilities and challenges of being a rookie patrol cop on the streets of Los Angeles.

Harry Bosch is returning to Amazon Freevee on Oct. 20 – and he’s taking matters into his own hands to save his daughter in a new teaser for “Bosch: Legacy” Season 2.

The drama series’ second season finds Bosch (Titus Welliver) working alongside Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) to track down a masked assailant who kidnapped his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) before time runs out. But as the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder, Bosch and Chandler are placed under suspicion.

In the clip, Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) tells Bosch that he needs to let authorities do their job to find his daughter, to which he replies: “Don’t cut me out!.” He also makes clear that while the FBI has to do things the “right way,” those rules don’t apply to him.

Bosch: Legacy has been renewed for Season 3 at Freevee, well ahead of the series’ sophomore run (which is still on track to premiere this fall).

According to Amazon, which announced the pickup as part of its NewFront presentation on Monday, the first season of Bosch: Legacy (which streamed in May 2022) “built on the loyal fan base of the original series and enticed new audiences,” delivering a “higher number of viewers than any previous season of Bosch” (which of course streamed on Prime Video proper).

Harry Bosch will continue to crack cases for the foreseeable future. Ahead of the Season 2 premiere this fall, Bosch: Legacy, the spinoff of the longrunning Amazon crime series, has been renewed for a third season. Amazon Freevee announced the renewal Monday, prior to the Amazon NewFront presentation.

Additionally, David Denman (Mare of Easttown), Patrick Brennan (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2), Rafael Cabrera (Too Old to Die Young), Bruce Davison (X–Men) Jessica Camacho (All Rise) and Guy Wilson (Angelyne) have joined the cast for the upcoming Season 2.

The Season 3 pickup follows strong ratings for Season 1, which Amazon Freevee says delivered a higher number of viewers than any previous season of the mothership series Bosch.
