The last televised appearance for Shinsuke Nakamura was on June 13, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, when he was eliminated from the King of the Ring tournament. Since then, he has been absent from WWE programming. Apparently, WWE’s focus on promoting younger talents, as per Wrestling Observer Figure Four Online, is a major reason behind his sudden disappearance from the squared circle.
Shinsuke Nakamura is, without a doubt, one of the greatest Japanese WWE superstars to have ever stepped into the ring. But, with time, fans have been concerned about his fading importance in existing storylines. This has stoked speculations about whether he will be released by the company at...

Even though John Cena is currently on his retirement tour, Shinsuke Nakamura’s botched back suplex eight years ago today nearly ended his career when he landed on his neck. The incident took place at SmackDown Live on August 1, 2017. Nakamura, one of the greatest Japanese WWE superstars, delivered a frightening back suplex followed by a crushing Kinshasa to secure the victory.
The match between Cena and Nakamura was one of the most highly anticipated face-offs at the time in the WWE. It was one of those dream matches where the winner would’ve earned the right to challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. The injury from the impact of that fall could’ve seriously paralyzed Cena or triggered a head concussion.

He has been involved in several iconic feuds and intriguing storylines, shaping the promotion and influencing it to a level that is nothing short of extraordinary. He is also one of the very few WWE wrestlers who have dipped their toes in professional Mma by joining the UFC. Professional wrestling is unpredictable. So much so that no one knows what could potentially happen in the next minute, except for no one but Triple H, who is currently the Chief Content Officer of the WWE. At Money in the Bank 2025, The Game made certain decisions that could turn out to be infamous ones in the future.
Behind the glaring lights of this year’s high-stakes pay-per-view event, the WWE universe was amazed by the results of these 3 matches and without a doubt, LA Knight would be the one most frustrated by that, since this is the third year in the row that he was left in the dark even after an impressive performance inside the ring.

Like it or not, wrestling is part of pop culture. However, while companies such as WWE or Aew certainly gain the most media attention globally, the Japanese also have a long tradition within the sport. After all, New Japan Pro-Wrestling is known worldwide and has produced quite a lot of talents such as Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada and Shinsuke Nakamura to name but a few. Indeed, the love for the sport is deeply embedded within the Japanese people, with some taking their dream of stepping into the squared circle to the next level and starting their own promotion. In “New Nemuro Pro Wrestling Story” director Hiroshi Minato tells the story of one such promotion and its founder Samson Miyamoto, while at the same time shedding some light on Japan’s long-standing love affair with wrestling

WWE has finally started gaining momentum after a modest showing at WrestleMania 41. The return of Cody Rhodes blew life back into the company’s struggling numbers and, with John Cena facing a new array of opposition, allowed the fans to be excited once again.
What was supposed to be a clash of an idol against his lifelong fan, in John Cena versus R Truth, soon saw a full-blown evolution into something massive. WWE returned to its peak storytelling with the inclusion of Jey Uso and Logan Paul in what has been a desperate attempt by the company to go all guns blazing with the latter. Now with John Cena and Logan Paul teaming up, WWE has got the necessary ingredients to once again build up a friction of a lifetime.

WWE superstars have little control over their words and actions, as they follow directions from WWE executives who shape their characters and storylines. At times, wrestlers must engage in controversial or unpleasant actions for the sake of the narrative, even if they personally oppose them.
However, these scripted choices can sometimes have unintended consequences, jeopardizing a wrestler’s career despite their reluctance. A similar situation unfolded with Jinder Mahal, whose career ended after he did a promo, which Vince McMahon forced him to do.

Gunther is one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. There are only a few in the world better than him. ‘The Ring General’ nickname wasn’t given for no reason. The man performs every time he is inside the squared circle. Gunther always makes his opponents look like a threat till he sets up the finishing blow. Since coming to WWE, he has also improved his mic skills and character work.
He has easily become one of the most despicable heels in WWE. Gunther beating up Jimmy Uso in front of his brother, Jey, has to be one of the most memorable Raw moments in the last two years. But how did a wrestler like him enter the WWE? Where is he from?

Roman Reigns may have secured a masterpiece from Def Rebel as his theme song, but many WWE superstars were left disappointed. Def Rebel, a music production company, joined hands with WWE in 2019, and from then on, they have been making some tweaks to the entrance theme song of the WWE superstars.
The WWE creative team would have brought them in to make some good theme songs, but with most WWE superstars, it wasn’t the same case. Many of the old songs for those WWE superstars were iconic, which were later replaced by Def Rebel. It was a disappointment for the audience as well because the initial entrance theme song was a signature for many famous WWE superstars, and from the very first sound, the crowd gave its reaction.

Before he was the main roster’s Head of Creative, Triple H headed Nxt and revolutionized wrestling. Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura were some of his prized possessions during his time heading the developmental program/third brand. Yet, they never translated their success to the main roster. John Cena is one of the prime attractions of the WWE Royal Rumble, which is set to be held on Saturday. The winner of last year, Cody Rhodes, won’t be competing in this year’s event, improving chances for Cena, Cm Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre. Reigns last entered a Royal Rumble match in 2020 and his statistics in the event provide an easy way for Cena.
John Cena in a still from WrestleMania Xl | Credits: WWE
Out of his previous six entries in the event, Reigns won only one time in 2015. Interestingly, the winners in all the rest of his appearances managed to beat him personally to win the competition. If Cena manages to beat Reigns in the upcoming event, he has a good luck charm to win the Royal Rumble.
Is beating Roman Reigns the easiest way for John Cena to win the WWE Royal Rumble?...

Warning: The following copy has Spoliers for WWE SmackDown
In its first week of WWE moving to the "second show" to three hours, WWE SmackDown from Phoenix, Az, was loaded with incidents. Sami Zayn and The Usos competed in 6-man Tag Team action against The Bloodline in the night's Main Event. Earlier in the evening, Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa met in the ring ahead of Monday's Tribal Combat match with Roman Reigns, and Drew McIntyre continued to make his presence felt.
Elsewhere, gold was on the line as DIY defended the tag team championship against DIY, and Nia Jax defended her title against Naomi in a very eventful WWE Women's Championship match. Michin and Piper Niven continued their feud with US Champion Chelsea Green waiting in the wings, Shinsuke Nakamura vs Andrade met in a hard-hitting match, and Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens continued their feud ahead of their match at the Royal Rumble.

WWE began to wrap up an incredible 2024 as SmackDown broadcasted the second of two shows recorded at the Xl Center in Hartford, Ct. Alex Shelley would eat a defeat later in the night to Johnny Gargano, as DIY's dominant resurgence continues.

After training Tommy “The Machine” Gunn and Adonis “Donnie” Johnson, Sylvester Stallone may enter WWE to train ex-Bloodline member Sami Zayn. The actor became synonymous with his character Rocky Balboa in the boxing world and played a crucial role in widening the reach of the sport in America. However, one former WWE legend is not happy about this news and shared that he would denounce the star’s Rocky films if his WWE entry ever happened.
