Hannes De Maeyer is one of Belgium's most sought-after and versatile film composers, known for Rebel (Cannes), Gangsta (Patser), Amazon Prime's Patsers, ITV's Professor T, and Channel 4's The Couple Next Door and Patience - the network's most-watched drama of 2025 so far. A versatile storyteller across genres, he has won both the World Soundtrack Award and the Magritte Award for Best Original Score. In 2025, he began scoring the visually inventive series This Is Not a Murder Mystery, directed by Hans Herbots, and will soon begin work on new seasons of Professor T and Patience.
