With a background in Cinema from the New York Film Academy and Concordia University, Ismaël has directed over 12 short films, earning accolades such as a "Coup de coeur" selection at the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2011, he made a significant transition into the video game industry, contributing to titles like Skylanders and The Amazing Spider-Man at Beenox - Activision. Joining Ubisoft Quebec in 2013 as the Assistant Cinematic Director for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Ismaël played a pivotal role in performance capture pre-production and directed substantial cinematic content.
In 2016, Ismaël embarked on a narrative journey at Gearbox Studio Québec, taking on roles as Narrative Director and Cinematic Director for an undisclosed project.
In 2018, he assumed the role of Cinematics Director at Guerrilla Games, leading the vision for the cinematics of Horizon Forbidden West and ensuring consistent quality across 22 hours of content.
