Yasmine Wadi

Yasmine Wadi is an Award Winning Palestinian /Egyptian Director/Writer ; Also an Actress/ Producer ; As she acted in different theater groups as well as some short films also in 2021 she got a role in an American independent web series . Since 2002 she started learning more about her passion for the story telling cinema..filmmaking , in 2004 She started to self taught about Filmmaking while studying at school and while she was studying Law at Cairo university ; She co-wrote ,Directed and Acted in a few short film projects ; In 2009, Yasmine co-wrote the short "Ay'nan" which was selected in a few international film festivals and got good reviews from the film directors in Egypt like " khairy beshara " . She decided to go for her passion professionally so she was keen to get her filmmaking diploma from the French university in Egypt . She worked as an assistant director in a few long featured films like " Sandouq al dunia " by Emad el bahat" which was one of the fellow directors with the late " Yousif chahine " and also in " Fragile" by "Ahmed Rashwan" , That is also beside her part in co-writing and acting in Theater . She Won Five international and local awards from prestigious film festivals for her short " Career Shift" 2021 like New York Movie Awards " best Director Short film & best first time director , Which was also premiered in Montreal Independant film festival and officially selected from more other international film festivals .
