Amber Fares is an award-winning documentary director and cinematographer known for films such as Coexistence, My Ass! (Special Jury Award, Sundance 2025), We Are Ayenda (Grand Prix, Cannes Lion 2024), Reckoning with Laughter (Al Jazeera Witness, 2021), Convergence: Courage Under Crisis (Netflix, 2021), America Inside Out with Katie Couric(National Geographic, 2018), and Speed Sisters (Hot Docs, 2015). As a cinematographer, she has worked on Life After (2025), Boycott (2021), and the Peabody Award-winning The Judge(2017), which she also co-produced and filmed. A Sundance Momentum Fellow and a Sundance Editing and Story Lab Fellow, Amber is a Canadian of Lebanese origin currently based in New York.
