Maria Fredriksson is one of the founders of the all-female production company Ballad Film. She has made several short documentaries that have screened at international film festivals such as Hot Docs, Visions du Réel, Sheffield DocFest and Palm Springs. Her debut feature, The Gullspång Miracle, premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023.
