Marty Lindquist

Marty Lindquist was born in North Vancouver, and raised in the Rocky Mountains of BC, Canada. Marty spent his early years playing a variety of sports, most seriously baseball, volleyball, basketball and track and field, taking piano lessons and playing in school band. He started acting in high school and had leading roles in a variety of musicals before graduation. Those experiences fostered a real love for the craft, and set Marty on the path to pursuing a career in the field, pushing his baseball dreams aside.
Marty attended Circle in the Square Theatre School's two year Professional Musical Theatre Workshop in New York City, starting in September, 2001. After graduating from Circle in The Square Theatre School, Marty moved to Toronto, Ontario, returning to Canada. In Toronto Marty studied with Carter Thor/Straeon Studios, coached by Jock MacDonald.
Marty performs in film and television, theatre, voice-over, and commercials. Selected TV credits include, "Suits", and "Murdoch Mysteries"; leading roles in such films as, "Unhappy Happy", "Remember to High Five The Salesman", "Saving Dreams" and "9/11: Cleared for Chaos".
As a musician, Marty is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. He has a lengthy catalogue of original songs, and has spent years performing solo or with bands across Canada. He has shared his experiences as a music teacher, as well.
After 18 years in Toronto, Marty recently moved to Montreal, became a father to twin boys, and has started a whole new chapter in his life and career.
