Julie Hagerty (Airplane), Jay O. Sanders (Along Came a Spider), Tracy Ifeachor (“The Pitt”), Hannah James (“Mercy Street”), Caleb Ruminer (“Finding Carter”), Kieran Mulcare (“Jessica Jones”), and Maria Dizzia (“Orange is the New Black”) have joined the production.

Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko), Phoebe Dynevor (“Bridgerton”), and Ashley Walters (“Adolescence”) lead the cast.

Neon will distribute the next film from “Fair Play” filmmaker Chloe Domont, a thriller called “A Place in Hell” starring Michelle Williams, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Andrew Scott. The movie, which hails from MRC and T-Street, tells the story of two women at a high-profile criminal law firm.

Neon will release the film theatrically in the U.S. with Republic Pictures handling International distribution, although a release date has not yet been set. The film recently wrapped production in New Jersey.

Per Deadline, Madsen will star opposite Xavier Molyneaux (Neighbours) in Bloodaxe, a new drama series from Vikings creator Michael Hirst and his son Horatio Hirst.

Madsen will portray a character named Gunnhild, who is the wife of Molyneaux’s Erik Bloodaxe. Gunnhild is also known as the Mother of Kings. Bloodaxe will focus on the rise of Erik Bloodaxe, a famous 10th-century Norse raider, and his mighty wife. The upcoming live-action Street Fightermovie has a new logo after its release was delayed. Based on the popular game of the same name, the live-action adaptation has faced some uncertainties in coming to life. Initially scheduled for release in 2026, the Street Fighter movie has been removed from Sony Pictures' release calendar following Kitao Sakurai's replacement of Danny and Michael Philippou to direct the project.

Dearest gentle viewers, your patience has finally been rewarded: Netflix has renewed “Bridgerton” for Seasons 5 and 6. Additionally, the streamer has confirmed “Bridgerton” Season 4 will debut in 2026.

The fourth season marks the halfway point for Netflix’s “Bridgerton” TV series adaptation, which is set to adapt all eight books from Julia Quinn’s romance series about the eight siblings in the titular Bridgerton family. And with the new two-season order, Netflix has formally picked up at least six out of the planned eight seasons for the Shonda Rhimes-produced Regency-era romance.

The announcements were made out of Netflix’s upfront presentation to advertisers, where it revealed new footage from “Bridgerton” Season 4, which shows season leads Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha as Benedict Bridgerton and love interest Sophie Baek, respectively. In the clip from the new season, Benedict lays eyes on Sophie at a masquerade ball and it’s seemingly love at first masked sight.

While Netflix's "Bridgerton" isn't true to real English history in many ways, it does maintain a general accuracy when it comes to the ranks of the nobility, the customs of the Ton, and the nature of courtship during "the season". The order of importance and prestige in the aristocracy is never laid out explicitly on the show, but enough characters of different rank come and go that viewers can piece together some of the basics. In season 1, for instance, Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page) is a duke, which stirs up quite a fervor when he arrives in town and begins wooing Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor).

Simon is good friends with Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) as well, though their ranks aren't quite as comparable as you might assume. Anthony is a Viscount, inheriting the title from his late father. When he marries Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in "Bridgerton" season 2, she thus becomes his Viscountess.
