Ghosts took some big swings in its fourth season with demons, deaths, romances, and the opening of Jay's restaurant. Along with the opening of the restaurant, the series introduced a handful of new characters working as the cooks, one of whom has a particular affinity for the devil's lettuce. For Season 4, Episode 20, "I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago," Ghosts went all in for the "420" holiday, expanding the ghost lore to allow the spirits of Woodstone to get high with Gabe (Dustin Ybarra), by sitting in his car while he has a little hotboxing session before — and after — work.
One of our favorite ghosts, Flower, spends every episode on cloud nine, and actress Sheila Carrasco sent us over the moon when she spoke about filming the hilarious stinger for the end of that episode. During the latest episode of Collider Ladies Night, series host Perri Nemiroff asked for a behind-the-scenes look at that scene,...

The latest episode of Ghosts is truly like no other, celebrating the global 4/20 holiday, which also sees our favorite hippie, Flower (Sheila Carrasco), in her element. “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago” aired on CBS less than twenty-four hours ago and in it, Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) employee Gabe (Dustin Ybarra) who marks the special day by smoking pot in his car after being talked to about his marijuana use, is eventually revealed to have an impact on the other spirits at Woodstone, beginning with Pete (Richie Moriarty) who receives a contact high.
Unsurprisingly, Flower encourages Pete to become more relaxed, basking in the experience, and he takes her word for it. Meanwhile, nothing of significance happens between the permanently high ghost and fellow stoner Gabe. However, Carrasco hints to TV Insider that there may be room for even more shenanigans for Gabe in Ghosts, but with her character in particular.

What a trip Pete (Richie Moriarty) must have had in the April 24 episode of Ghosts, and it was all thanks to living stoner Gabe (Dustin Ybarra), who just had to mark the 4/20 holiday in style. Set on April 20, “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago” provided an unforgettable experience for Pete, who got himself high after joining Gabe for a hot-boxing session in his car. While the friendly ghost wasn’t so thrilled about being intoxicated at first, he eventually relished the moment thanks to Flower (Sheila Carrasco).
In an interview with TV Insider, Carrasco discusses that moment in Pete’s afterlife, explaining how her character feels as a guide to him. She notes that Flower was delighted about him experiencing a good time, but later had doubts before assuring herself that nothing would go wrong. The TV star said:

After years opening for Bob Saget and seeing firsthand the global influence of stand-up comedy, I thought what better way to tell...

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. continued campaign fundraising in Los Angeles Wednesday night with a stand-up comedy event hosted by the independent presidential candidate’s wife and actress Cheryl Hines.
The A Night of Laughter With Rfk Jr. & Friends evening at the Million Dollar Theater included performances by Jeremy Piven, Bobby Lee, Rob Schneider, Tre Stewart, Mike Binder, Erica Rhodes, Dustin Ybarra and radio host and podcaster Adam Carolla.
The benefit event, with an after party for $1000 Silver and $1500 Gold contributors, was part of a string of comedy shows planned for across the U.S. as the Rfk Jr. campaign looks to continue raising campaign funds. The first-time presidential candidate is polling in the mid- to high single digits in key U.S. states, according to RealClearPolitics.
That’s enough to potentially pull votes away from U.S. president Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump, both of whom are currently expected to be the U.

Annual upfront presentations in New York are fast approaching, and networks are saying goodbye to several shows — some longstanding, others short-lived. The cancelations of series like “Quantico,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Designated Survivor,” and “Lucifer” are making space for new programs in the fall.
See the full list of cancelations below.

Three episodes into its third season, “Quantico” is averaging a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.3 million total viewers, according to Nielsen live-plus-same day numbers.
“Designated Survivor”: The presidential drama starring Kiefer Sutherland as America’s last-expected leader ate through four showrunners in two seasons. The show was on a search for its own designated survivor — a fifth showrunner — for a projected Season 3 when it got the axe. The...

ABC has canceled Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, its freshman dramedy starring Jason Ritter. The series got off to a slow start in the network’s challenging Tuesday 10 Pm slot, which has claimed a slew of short-lived drama series.
Formerly known as The Gospel of Kevin, the show from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters was in a similar hopeful, light, one-hour style as ABC’s breakout hit The Good Doctor but had a rough time building an audience. It opened with a soft 4.2 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49 (Live+Same Day), and its ratings slipped in most of the subsequent weeks. The network ordered three additional episodes in November.
Ritter played Kevin Finn, who’s not a good person. He’s not terrible, but he’s selfish and clueless and values material wealth and status over all else. And he’s beginning to realize that those...

When best friends Michael and Matty make a pact to lose their virginity before prom, a spanner is thrown in the works when Matty comes out as gay. Trying to work out their new situation, Michael makes it his life ambition to continue the pact no matter what. Together, they start on an adventure of calamity and hi-jinx as they try to find their place in the world, how their lives have changed because of it and who can they persuade to have sex with them before prom night is through.
Date and Switch definitely suffers from that classic ‘teenager romantic comedy’ syndrome where it is all about sex and, namely, having it before a certain time limit is up.

Early last year, Fox ordered a new romantic comedy, Us & Them, for the 2013-14 season. In October, the network cancelled the show and shut down production after six episodes.
Word was that they were unhappy with the direction of the series and planned to burn off the produced episodes this summer. Now, TVLine reports that the sitcom won't ever air on the network. No reason for the decision was given.
Based on the British series Gavin & Stacey, Us & Them is a single-camera ensemble comedy that follows a pair of young lovers (Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel) whose relationship is complicated by their each having an unusual group of friends. The rest of the cast includes Ashlie Atkinson, Dustin Ybarra, Jane Kaczmarek, Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Kurt Fuller.

Fox has one of its better slates coming your way with the new season, especially if you take the midseason shows into account. Some of these shows may not jump out at you now as must-see, but some of them are going to take over, if I’m any judge anyway.
Clear showcase offerings Dads, Almost Human, and Us & Them are guaranteed to take off early. Almost Human has J.J. Abrams recognition to pull people in, though it looks to be a show that could flounder after a few episodes, even if I hope it doesn’t. The other two are going to become hits. Unfortunately, we have to wait until mid-season for the Gavin & Stacey remake.
Rake also looks like a winner, as long as the translation can be made to work as an Americanized product, and the show actually delivers what made the Australian original so brilliant.

I write this review in a haze of disorientation, not, I hasten to add, due to a lingering intoxication effect from seeing this film, but due to riding high on adrenaline after a close brush with disaster. You’ll forgive me, I hope, if the next seven hundred words or so appear incomprehensible, meandering or just plain silly. This introduction is by no means excluded. The disaster in question? I had found myself without proper boarding passes for a flight I’m due to be on in the next sixteen hours and thought myself without access to a printer. Thank all that claims to be holy for the mercifully continued existence of the humble internet café. Specifically, thank you to Yusuf Internet Café,...

Film: "21 & Over"; Cast: Miles Teller, Justin Chon, Jonathan Keltz, Skylar Astin, Sarah Wright, Jonathan Keltz, Francois Chau, Russell Hodgkinson, Daniel Booko, Russell Mercado, Josie Loren, Christiann Castellanos and Dustin Ybarra; Writers-Directors: Jon Lucas and Scott Moore; Rating: ** 1/2 - a debauchery worth remembering.
The film "21 & Over" has the sensibilities of the west, but at its core, it carries sentimental messages of friendship. It's about three friends bonding, very much akin to Abhishek Kapoora's desi film "Kai Po Che!".
There are so many similarities between the two films that revealing the parallels.

Chicago – When Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (the writers of “The Hangover” and its sequel) decided to go back in time to college with the same drunk movie formula, their resulting “21 and Over” neglected two major ingredients: being consistently funny and making bold new choices.
Rating: 2.0/5.0
Since you’re willingly entering a movie like this to shut down your brain and feast your eyes on human stupidity, that’ll pay off for you in the first 30 minutes. With the remaining short 63 minutes, though, you’ll see that “21 and Over” already blew its load and front-loaded most of its funnies.
After the first third of the film, the rest drags, some of the punch lines flop and dramatic moments that attempt to diversify the film’s humor aren’t emotional. “21 and Over” would have been better served going for pure comedy the whole time – like “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy...

New '21 And Over' movie served up tons of laughs, crazy drama & more. Relativity Media released their new comedy flick "21 And Over" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was extremely funny and entertaining ,serving up hysterical and wild scenes throughout. It stars: Miles Teller, Justin Chon, Skylar Astin, Sarah Wright, François Chau, Jonathan Keltz, Daniel Booko, and Dustin Ybarra. In the new flick , character Miller (Miles teller) comes to visit his old high school buddy Casey (Skylar Astin) ,and basically all Miller wants to do,is party to the absolute break of dawn. From there, they proceed to go see their other friend, Jeff Chang, as he's about to turn 21. Miller wants to take him out to get utterly wasted, but resistance is high as Jeff has been feeling a lot of heat and pressure from his father to land a new doctor gig he has lined up for him,...

Tube Talk Gold has looked back at many classic sitcoms, but there aren't many shows that can truly hold the mantle of 'Gold', and this month's edition focuses on a truly British institution, featuring some of the UK's most favourite characters, catchphrases and moments for over 20 years.
After a near-miss Us remake starring John 'Luigi from Super Mario Bros' Leguizamo, the legacy of Only Fools and Horses can carry on untarnished.
Only Fools and Horses - Originally broadcast from September 8, 1981 to February 3, 1991 and Christmas specials from 1991 to 2003.
John Sullivan had already created the successful sitcom Citizen Smith for the BBC when he was commissioned to write a new series. Influenced by the popularity of ITV's Minder, he came up with an idea of a cockney market trader in modern-day London. Using a strange old American saying for its title, he wrote a series that would go on to become possibly the UK's best-loved comedy.

This weekend offers up a buffet of films in various genres, with Jack the Giant Slayer taking aim at the spot from 3,525 theaters for Warner Bros. Pictures. The fantasy adventure brings back X-Men helmer Bryan Singer, directing from the script by Jack Reacher's Christopher McQuarrie as well as Dan Studney and Darren Lemke. We weren't impressed with the film, slapping it with a below average rating of 2/5 in our review. That said, Rottentomatoes.com critics have it at 60% at this time. Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, Ian McShane, Ewen Bremner, Eddie Marsan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ralph Brown, Andrew Brooke and Ben Daniels star. Relativity Media sends out their teen and younf adult-skewering 21 and Over comedy into 2,700 theaters.
