Maria Ioannou(II)

Maria Ioannou was born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus. Maria graduated from Aristotle University of Athens while getting her diploma from the Dramatic School of Arts "Iasmos." In just one year, Maria's TV career began to take off along with her theatre career. Maria is one of the few Cypriot actors of her times that worked in major Greek TV series. Since 2001, Maria Ioannou has worked on numerous hit TV shows and films as a lead, establishing her name both in Greece and Cyprus. Apart from working as an actress, Maria has hosted her own radio shows and also hit Cypriot TV shows with much success. Writing is also one of Maria's great passions and since 2008 she has been the main writer of many TV shows in Greece and Cyprus as well as an author of several magazine articles. Maria has also been the face of numerous brand and TV campaigns, radio adds, and fundraisers. In 2011 she was awarded the Best Actress of the Year award, by the Madame Figaro Magazine. From 2000 through today, Maria has worked with the most talented theatre and movie directors in both Greece and Cyprus. Her latest credits include a daily show on Omega TV channel in Cyprus and an English spoken film directed by Francesco Cinquemani set to be released in 2021 all over the world. Maria is looking forward to making the transition into European and American film and TV productions.
