Supinder Wraich is an Indian-born Canadian storyteller whose fearless performances and authenticity have made her a standout star. Born in Chandigarh and raised in the area of Rexdale in Toronto, Canada, she earned a BA in Communications from the University of Ottawa, refined her craft through Sheridan College's Advanced Film & Television program, and completed a residency at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory.
She has since graced the screen in acclaimed series including The Expanse, The Good Doctor, Rookie Blue, The Strain, and Private Eyes. Her breakout role came in the award-winning web thriller Guidestones, where she played a journalism student plunged into a global conspiracy. The gripping performance earned her a Canadian Screen Award and introduced audiences to her signature mix of intensity and vulnerability.
Wraich went on to create, write, and star in The 410, portraying a young South Asian woman, who, following her father's arrest, navigates her family's trucking dynasty that's actually a front for drug smuggling. The performance was praised for its complexity and authenticity, bringing nuance to a flawed anti-hero while reflecting real South Asian cultural dilemmas. As a result, The 410 received three Canadian Screen Award nominations: Best Web Program or Series, Fiction; Best Writing, Web Program or Series; and Lead Performance, Web Program or Series.
She is best known today for her starring role in CBC's hit procedural, Allegiance. As Constable Sabrina Sohal, a Sikh rookie cop in Surrey, British Columbia, she begins in uniform and rises to join the Special Crimes Unit in Season 2. Her arc evolves into a delicate balance between following procedure and trusting her emotional instincts, a tension that deepens her performance and earned her a second Canadian Screen Award. She anchors the series alongside respected Canadian talents including Enrico Colantoni, Stephen Lobo, and Samer Salem.
Off-screen, Wraich continues to expand her storytelling as a writer and director with shorts such as Chinesey and Ruby's Tuesday. Committed to championing underrepresented stories, she brings bold creativity and cultural truth to her work. From genre-defying web series to prestige television dramas, Supinder Wraich has established herself as a force in the film industry.
