ReviewAs the serpentine history of Veerappan spanning two decades unravels, the series certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat. Veerappan is an eerily familiar name to those of us who grew up in the 1990s. He was a contemporary legend, presented to us as the proverbial Big Bad hiding out deep in the forests. The stories of his do-gooding also came to be reported, amusing the public imagination. After his eventual capture and killing by the police, the question remained: who was he after all? Lucknow zoo hosting adventure sports

Lucknow, Oct 3 (Ians) The Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden is hosting adventure sports — zip lining, slithering and archery — as part of the ongoing National Wildlife Week being observed from October 1 to 7.

The zoo is also hosting the adventure sports in the hippo park area on an experimental basis.

B.K. Singh, zoo director, said, “We will keep it running till October 7 and continue if it is a success. These sports will be open to the public for a fee.”

Principal conservator of forests and head of forest force, Mamata Sanjeev Dubey said the children must be aware of the issues pertaining to our wildlife. She also said that focus has always been on cats and tigers and it was now time to draw attention to primates and birds as well. Dubey suggested that a pocket book should be compiled based on the different kinds of birds and butterflies.

Big congrats to all the Leo nominees this year!

The nominations were announced earlier today. Sanctuary, Arctic Air, Endgame and Blackstone are up for Best Dramatic Series and all five films nominated for Best Feature Length Drama have familiar faces in them: Daydream Nation (Luke Camilleri, Calum Worthy, Genevieve Buechner), Doppelgänger Paul (Ben Cotton), Marilyn (Ryan Robbins), Sisters & Brothers (Kacey Rohl, Michael Eklund, Ben Cotton), and The Odds (Calum Worthy).

Sisters & Brothers nabbed 12 nominations, Hamlet (with Peter Wingfield) and Marilyn have eight each, Sunflower Hour (with Kacey Rohl and Ben Cotton) has seven, Donovan's Echo (with Hiro Kanagawa) has six, Daydream Nation and Doppelgänger Paul five each, The Odds has four, and Everything and Everyone (with Ryan Robbins) and Hannah's Law (with Ryan Kennedy and John Pyper-Ferguson, to be aired in June) scored two each.
