  • [on Christmas] I know I'm being nitpicky, but am I the only one who finds the opening line from Joy to the World really patronizing? I mean, it says, "Joy to the World, the Lord has come, let 'Earth' receive 'her' King." Sorry, ladies -- Mother Nature just got owned! And to top it off, she likes it that way, cause then "Heaven and Nature sing"... you know, being ruled by an unelected monarch and all. Somebody needs to tell the lyricist that supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical barnyard ceremony.
  • I always love how anti-Gay Marriage activists always refer to same sex marriage as the destruction of "The Institution of Marriage." Are they implying that marriage is a building filled with crazy people, and that if it's not protected, the nuts might get out? Or do they not want any sane people to get in?
  • I know I'm not going to win any St. Francis awards for this, but so be it. I realize that some animals have an inherent nature. It's in a dog's nature to be loyal. A cat is cruel to its prey. Dolphins are playful and Manatees are docile. But Canadian Geese...? Canadian Geese are dumb. Oh, sure, when I see one run over in the street I think it's sad and all. But Lord only knows it was dumb. Very, VERY dumb.
  • [on Coco] Okay, did Pixar just invent new colors for this movie? COCO!-- Now in shades of Glowgenta, Phospherredscious and Scrumtrulescent! Seriously, this movie wasn't just in eye candy. It was Skittles dunked in Fun Dip covered in sprinkles on top of a mountain of jelly beans stuck under a blacklight eye candy.
