Brady Hood is a Writer - Director who is passionate about creating commercially accessible stories with a social commentary. He has been featured as a 'Screen International Star of Tomorrow' and since then has gone from strength to strength with his work. Most recently Brady directed two episodes of "Top Boy" for Netflix, created by Ronan Bennett and produced by Cowboy Films. The show stars Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson with a host of new UK talent including Michael Ward, Hope Ikpoku and Jasmine Jobson. Alongside these the series also stars are Mercury Prize 2019 nominees Simbi "Little Simz" Ajikawo and David "Dave" Omoregie, two of the UK's brightest rising rappers. Brady directed episodes 6 & 7.

Prior to "Top Boy," after working as an assistant to film directors such as Joe Wright, Lone Scherfig, and Otto Bathurst, Brady was accepted onto the prestigious MA Directing Fiction course at The National Film & Television School. On the year of his graduation he was snapped up to launch season 5 of 'Endeavour' for ITV in the UK. The show was created by Russell Lewis, produced by Mammoth Screen and starred Shaun Evans and Roger Allam.

Brady's graduation film from the NFTS, "Sweet Maddie Stone," won numerous worldwide awards including "Short Film of the year" at the Critics' Circle Film Awards and the "Brief Grand Prix" at Bristol Encounters Film Festival. Brady's other shorts films have played all over the world at a number of festivals including Palm Springs, Encounters and Flickerfest. His short form work also won 'Best Director' at the Kodak/Nahemi Student Commercial Awards and was nominated for "Best Student Commercial" at the British Arrows Craft Awards 2016.

His first feature film, an adaptation of the short 'Sweet Maddie Stone', is now in development with Shoebox Films and Creative England. And as hardworking as ever, Brady is also writing what he hopes will be his second feature film as well as working on two television dramas - "Prideland" and "Twockers"- which have both been optioned and are now in development.
