Family Of George Floyd Considering Lawsuit Against Kanye West Over False Overdose Claims
Image
Kanye West may find himself in legal hot water over some of his recent comments.

Over the weekend, the rapper appeared on the “Drink Champs” podcast, earning public outrage for numerous anti-semitic statements, as well as a claim that George Floyd died of an overdose.

A Minneapolis police officer was convicted of murdering Floyd by kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes while he was face down on the ground. A video of the incident sparked mass protests around the globe.

Ever since the video went viral, some have falsely claimed that Floyd, who had drugs in his system, had actually died of an overdose unrelated to officer Derek Chauvin’s actions.

During the podcast, West repeated the claim and suggested a conspiracy theory, telling the hosts, “They hit him with the fentanyl, if you...

‘The View’ Fans React to Meghan McCain’s Exit: ‘Please Stay Off TV Forever Now’
Meghan McCain
Meghan McCain’s days of ranting and raving about hot topics on “The View” are over – and fans of the show could not hide their excitement if they tried.

McCain officially signed off from the ABC talk show on Friday to considerable fanfare from longtime “View” viewers, with one commenter exclaiming, “the evil has been defeated!”

The conservative personality’s last day on the show was marked by more smiles and well-wishes than you’d expect for someone that seemingly left a path of interruptions and shouting wherever she went. After a montage of some of McCain’s highlights from the show played, she signed off by thanking “The View” cast, crew and audience for allowing her to “give my opinion and show my perspective.”

“I don’t know what else to say, other than, thank you all so much, again, for the privilege and honor that it has been...

Meghan McCain Needled for Griping About When She’ll Get the Covid Vaccine: ‘Viewruca Salt’
Meghan McCain
Meghan McCain opened herself up to some mockery on Monday after she complained that she doesn’t know when she’ll get access to a Covid-19 vaccine.

The comments, which came during the same “The View” segment where she called for Dr. Anthony Fauci to be fired, started with a point we’ll concede is somewhat fair to bring up: That in her view, it’s a problem that messaging from U.S. officials seems to suggest that even with the vaccine people won’t be able to resume normal life for a long, long time. After a clip during which Dr. Anthony Fauci wouldn’t make any kind of specific recommendation about what people can do after getting vaccinated, McCain compared that to Israel where, she said, people are being told if they get the vaccine they can resume normal life.

“The idea that I can get vaccinated I...

Madonna at an event for 55th BFI London Film Festival (2011)
Twitter Roasts Madonna for Her Aretha Franklin VMAs Tribute
Madonna at an event for 55th BFI London Film Festival (2011)
Madonna was set to pay tribute to the Queen of Soul at Monday’s VMAs, but the speech seemed to be all about the Queen of Pop — Madonna herself, that is.

MTV asked Madonna to honor Aretha Franklin, who died Thursday, during her intro for the video of the year winner announcement. Most of the tribute to Franklin, however, was spent explaining the early origins of Madonna’s career. The only mention of Franklin was that Madonna sang “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman” to — ultimately unsuccessfully — audition for a song. She credited that failure with launching her into a different opportunity that led to the rest of her career.

She added towards the end of her speech: “I want to thank you, Aretha, for empowering all of us. R-e-s-p-e-c-t. Long live the queen.”

“I’m so lost,” Charlamagne Tha God wrote on Twitter. “I thought Madonna was...

Let's move on. https://t.co/mx9pfIdnzT — Nicki Minaj (@Nickiminaj) July 23, 2015 [Update 7/23/15 - 11:37Am Edt]: Taylor Swift just took to Twitter to apologize for jumping to conclusions about Nicki Minaj's tweets and completely missed the point of what Minaj was saying: I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki. @Nickiminaj — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) July 23, 2015 [Original Article Below]: Today MTV announced their nominees for the 2015 Video Music Awards. Not among the contenders for Video of the Year? Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.” This despite shattering the Vevo record for most views in 24 hours — 19.6 million if you’re keeping track — and becoming a cultural phenomenon.

Aaron Paul Offers to Mediate Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj Feud With Peace Pancakes
Never fear, everybody, Aaron Paul's got this! Nothing can stop his awesome, and he is probably clutch in a real-life crisis -- which is not to be confused with a celebrity Twitter feud crisis, which is mostly just amusing. The latest crisis started with Nicki Minaj, who was denied a VMAs nomination for "Feeling Myself," leading to a passive-aggressive online spat with Taylor Swift, resulting in the "Breaking Bad" alum jumping in with an offer of peace pancakes and coffee.

Long story short, Nicki and her fans were upset with her VMAs snub(s), and Nicki tweeted some shots that seemed like they were directed at Taylor Swift and "Bad Blood," without ever mentioning Taylor's name. The Hollywood Reporter documented the back and forth, but here's part of the Nicki-Taylor exchange:

When the "other" girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.
