Leanna Tallmeister

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Leanna grew up on the stage and in the theatre performing with several Canadian theatre and ballet companies. She studied classical ballet under the Royal Academy of Dance and theatre in the Arts York program, as well as at Stratford (Ontario). She later spent a year in New York City studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and with acting coach Susan Batson.

On the Canadian stage, she played wide variety of roles including Alice from "A Christmas Carol" and Bridget from "Bridget Jones's Diary"- a role for which she received the "In Celebration of the Arts" Award, a Canadian performing arts scholarship award, in the Dramatic Arts category.

After obtaining her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre and film from McMaster University, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. In Los Angeles, Leanna became a student at the Groundlings Theatre, where she studied improv comedy. In 2012 and 2013, she shot two Christmas features, along with several commercials and short films, including Ty Leisher and Aaron Fors' Pathological (2013) and Dena Hysell-Cornejo's Ascent to Hell (2014). Her television credits include Degrassi: La nouvelle génération (2001) and Grey's Anatomy (2005).

She continues to pursue work in film and television. Leanna is also a voiceover actor. Her voice has been used in film, commercials and podcasts in the U.S. and Canada.
