Ghosts Season 4 may be over, but the cast of CBS‘s comedy is already looking to the future, and TV Insider caught up with several of the stars at the network’s CBS Fest 2025 to discuss what’s next. As viewers will recall, Season 4 concluded with a major cliffhanger as it was revealed Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) had unknowingly signed away his soul to hell thanks to demon Elias (Matt Walsh). When Sam (Rose McIver) informed Jay that Elias was Hetty’s (Rebecca Wisocky) ex, who had gone to hell and somehow reemerged in a visible form, the chef realized the stakes of his situation. With the threat of Elias’ promise to reap Jay’s soul sooner rather than later looming over Woodstone, it’s unclear how the demon’s attempts to kill Jay will manifest in Season 5. In the meantime, Ambudkar and McIver, Asher Grodman, and Sheila Carrasco, who play...

Across 22 episodes, GhostsSeason 4 brought us some new sides of our favorite characters. After being stuck in a well for a significant portion of Season 3 while actress Sheila Carrascowas on maternity leave, Flower stepped into the spotlight a few times in Season 4 to show off a side of the perma-fried hippie that we've never seen before. After sharing some revelations about her past with the cult, Flower has gained a bit of confidence, allowing her to go head to head with two of the house's most powerful — and most conniving — ghosts. During the latest episode of Collider Ladies Night, Carrasco spoke with series host Perri Nemiroff about getting to deliver those more authoritative moments for her typically rather aloof character.
In Season 4, Episode 18, "Smooching and Smushing," Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman) attempt to teach Flower a lesson by showing her how having money would corrupt even her charity-driven heart.

Ghosts took some big swings in its fourth season with demons, deaths, romances, and the opening of Jay's restaurant. Along with the opening of the restaurant, the series introduced a handful of new characters working as the cooks, one of whom has a particular affinity for the devil's lettuce. For Season 4, Episode 20, "I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago," Ghosts went all in for the "420" holiday, expanding the ghost lore to allow the spirits of Woodstone to get high with Gabe (Dustin Ybarra), by sitting in his car while he has a little hotboxing session before — and after — work.

The career of a television actor is often filled with a plethora of one-off parts and even some roles where you may not even see them on screen. For Ghostsstar Sheila Carrasco, one of these roles was pivotal. Just before landing her big break on the CBS sitcom as everyone's favorite perma-fried hippie, Flower, Carrasco served as a stand-in for D'Arcy Carden on one of the most iconic episodes of The Good Place. Carrasco sat down for a wide-ranging conversation with Perri Nemirofffor the latest episode of Collider Ladies Night. During the interview, Nemiroff asked Carrasco about a pre-Ghosts role that showed her what she'd want from a series regular position, and Carrasco immediately knew her answer.
"Oh, I can tell you. So I did stand-in work on The Good Place. It was a specific job," said Carrasco. "So it was the episode where D'Arcy Carden – who's so amazing and so lovely – played Janet,...

GhostsSeason 4 has come to a close. After 22 episodes of laughs and undead shenanigans, we've been left on the edge of our seats awaiting the return of Season 5 this fall. While the main cliffhanger revolves around the fate of Jay's (Utkarsh Ambudkar) soul after he signed a contract with Elias (Matt Walsh), who has upgraded his afterlife status to Demon, we're still curious about what's in store for the rest of our favorite characters. As far as relationships go, Season 4 took our ghosts all over the map — literally! Pete (Richie Moriarty) continued his romance with Donna (Allegra Edwards) only to later break up with her in the finale, now that his long-time crush, Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), is interested in being with him.
Sass (Román Zaragoza) finally found love with another roaming ghost named Joan (Taylor Ortega), a screenwriter from the 1940s.

GhostsSeason 4 is soon to be "sucked off" into the sky as the final episode edges nearer. What has been perhaps the best season of the US remake of the UK series yet, Season 4, has produced endless laughs and a neat touch of heartwarming emotion as it ebbed and flowed between the stories of the titular spirits and Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar)'s life in Woodstone B&b. Now, following the most recent penultimate Episode 21, "Kyle," in which Superstore alum Ben Feldman made his debut, the official promo for the finale has been released and is available to watch below.

If you don’t immediately recognize Betsy Sodaro’s face from her countless TV and film appearances, odds are you recognize the voice. Currently stealing scenes as Nancy, a basement-dwelling ghost who died of cholera on CBS’ hit comedy “Ghosts,” Sodaro’s voice packs an extra punch to her already assassin-like skill with a punchline. Simultaneously raspy, yet childlike with a joyful cadence, it’s become so much her signature that in one recent “Ghosts” episode, where Rose McIver (as Samantha) was “possessed” by Nancy and spent an entire episode doing an imitation so uncanny many viewers assumed it was dubbed (it was not.)
Like Morgan Freeman, Sodaro’s voice is so distinctive that it can often proceed recognizing the actor. Yes, that eye mite in the commercial for Xdemvy medication is indeed her. Both she and her characters are prone to outbursts of enthusiasm (“Ooh!”) or disgust (“Ugh!”) that...

The penultimate episode of GhostsSeason 4 airs tonight on CBS, and "Kyle" will feature a special guest appearance from Superstore alum Ben Feldmanas the titular newcomer, who shares Sam's (Rose McIver) ability to see ghosts. Ahead of the episode, Collider is delighted to bring you a sneak peek featuring Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) making some hilariously outlandish demands of Kyle, who appears to have been hired to work at Woodstone — both for the B&b and the ghosts.
In our exclusive sneak peek, the house's bossiest ghosts are thrilled to have their own "dedicated servant" and are ready to break him in by bringing him their biggest asks: a puppy and for the house to constantly smell like a freshly microwaved hot pocket. Sam, who's quite used to the ghosts asking her any number of things, laughs off the moment and wishes Kyle good luck with their antics.

The latest episode of Ghosts is truly like no other, celebrating the global 4/20 holiday, which also sees our favorite hippie, Flower (Sheila Carrasco), in her element. “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago” aired on CBS less than twenty-four hours ago and in it, Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) employee Gabe (Dustin Ybarra) who marks the special day by smoking pot in his car after being talked to about his marijuana use, is eventually revealed to have an impact on the other spirits at Woodstone, beginning with Pete (Richie Moriarty) who receives a contact high.
Unsurprisingly, Flower encourages Pete to become more relaxed, basking in the experience, and he takes her word for it. Meanwhile, nothing of significance happens between the permanently high ghost and fellow stoner Gabe. However, Carrasco hints to TV Insider that there may be room for even more shenanigans for Gabe in Ghosts, but with her character in particular.

What a trip Pete (Richie Moriarty) must have had in the April 24 episode of Ghosts, and it was all thanks to living stoner Gabe (Dustin Ybarra), who just had to mark the 4/20 holiday in style. Set on April 20, “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago” provided an unforgettable experience for Pete, who got himself high after joining Gabe for a hot-boxing session in his car. While the friendly ghost wasn’t so thrilled about being intoxicated at first, he eventually relished the moment thanks to Flower (Sheila Carrasco).
In an interview with TV Insider, Carrasco discusses that moment in Pete’s afterlife, explaining how her character feels as a guide to him. She notes that Flower was delighted about him experiencing a good time, but later had doubts before assuring herself that nothing would go wrong. The TV star said:

All of the Main 8 ghosts have now had their powers revealed in Ghosts season 4. Pete has ranked them all, but he’s off when it comes to how great some powers are.
Pete had decided that there are different tiers of powers based on how effective and important they are. He uses the way they can connect to the world of the living, and the way he can get off the property. However, he’s overlooking a few great elements of a couple of powers, and Pete’s ability to roam isn’t all that great when you consider other aspects of the spirits’ abilities.
I have my ranking of how great the abilities are. Do you agree with mine? These are in order from best to worst.

Ghosts Season 4 is getting ever closer to its finale with only three episodes left. The popular sitcom ends on May 8 with "The Devil Went Down to Woodstone," which has been described as a “jam-packed” episode. But before then, we have the penultimate “Kyle” episode that will see Superstore alum Ben Feldman make his debut as the title character. A series of photos have already been unveiled ahead of the installment courtesy of TV Insider, including a first look at the dashing Kyle.
In Season 4, Episode 21 of Ghosts, set to air next Thursday, Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) bonds are pushed to the limit when the handsome guest Kyle arrives at Woodstone B&b, and he just so happens to share Sam’s ability as a living person who can see ghosts. It's hard to believe we're already nearing the end of Ghosts Season 4, but with only three episodes left in the season, and the promise of a "jam-packed" finale, anticipation is sky high to see what happens when "The Devil Went Down to Woodstone" arrives on CBS. The episode is set to air on the network on May 8 at 8:30 Pm Et, and according to Rose McIver, who spoke to Collider earlier this year while they were filming the episode, it will feature a "who's who of ghostdom." CBS has confirmed the episode will feature Matt Walsh's Elias and Mary Holland's Patience, and it's likely safe to assume we'll see familiar faces like Betsy Sodaro's Nancy and the other basement ghosts, as well as Odessa A'zion's Stephanie, who's returning for next week's episode as well.

Any television lover will tell you that there’s just something special about cast-directed episodes. While it’s no easy feat, and not necessarily a job for every actor, seeing a show through the eyes of someone who’s on it every day often feels like a treat. Earlier this year, Ghostsfans were treated to a delightful episode helmed by series lead Rose McIver, a longtime goal for the actress finally realized. When I spoke to her for that episode, she admitted that she’d given quite a few of her co-stars the itch to get behind the camera, in one way or another, themselves. Often capturing a plethora of behind-the-scenes content, Román Zaragoza told me last week he’d jump at the opportunity to direct, and back in March, Danielle Pinnock told me she’s writing a spec script while they’re on hiatus.

One of our first introductions to Trevor Lefkowitz (Asher Grodman) on Ghosts sees him frustratedly attempting to explain what a movie is to his dead companions in the pilot. Jump to the most recent episode of Season 4, and now Trevor is trying hard to get his hands on some choice movie memorabilia — the ice skates worn by Moira Kelly in his all-time favorite movie,The Cutting Edge, an early ‘90s figure skating rom-com. When Flower (Sheila Carrasco) rightfully calls him out on being a little creepy about the skates, Trevor defends himself by claiming that he’s not like those other foot fetish freaks; he’s a cinephile.
I recently sat down with Asher Grodman to discuss Trevor’s big upcoming episode, in which he finds out that he’s been a dad all this time. During our conversation, I had to ask what he thought Trevor’s Letterboxd top four might be,...
