Where ‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter’ Leaves Natalia’s Story
Image
The second half of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter delves into the “hell loop,” as legal expert Beth Karas describes it, that Natalia has repeatedly found herself in as tensions with the DePaul family, who helped her escape the home of her adoptive family, Bishop Antwon and Cynthia Mans, come to ahead.

Unlike the mistreatment Natalia experienced with her first adoptive family, Michael and Kristine Barnett, and allegedly the Manses as well, Vincent and Nicole DePaul have created a helpful environment for Natalia to thrive in since moving her from Nashville, Tennessee, to upstate New York to live with them. However, Natalia’s perceived allegiance to Antwon and Cynthia has left the DePauls frustrated as their efforts to help her lead an independent life as a young woman with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita are derailed when she continues to give the Manses access to money that she needs for health care,...

‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace’ Producers Reveal How They Decided to Make Season 3
Image
The drama surrounding Natalia Grace, the Ukrainian-born American adoptee, continues with new revelations. Just when producers Eric and Shannon Evangelista, as well as ID boss Jason Sarlanis thought the saga had concluded, they received a shocking call from Natalia’s new adoptive family, Bishop Antwon and Cynthia Mans, a call that changed everything, The Hollywood Reporter claims.

It was Christmas Eve, and the Mans family had concerns about Natalia’s well-being. They claimed something wasn’t right with her, leading the Evangelistas to return to the story, camera in hand.

The next chapter of Natalia’s journey, featured in The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter, picks up where the previous seasons left off. As of 2023, Natalia is 22 years old, but life with the Mans family proves to be just as troubling as her earlier years with the Barnetts.

The Mans family had adopted her after she was abandoned by her former parents,...

‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace’ Bosses Explain How “Bombshell” Phone Call Led to an Unexpected Season 3
Image
Almost exactly one year ago, the ID channel aired what were expected to be the final episodes of the saga of Ukrainian-born American adoptee Natalia Grace. But just as Hot Snakes Media cofounders and producers Eric and Shannon Evangelista turned in the edit for the season two finale of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, they received a phone call from Natalia’s new adoptive family, Bishop Antwon and Cynthia Mans. The preacher on the other end frustratingly telling them, “We got a situation. Something ain’t right with Natalia.”

“It was Christmas Eve, and it was, for us, this bombshell phone call,” Shannon now tells The Hollywood Reporter. “From then, we just said we had to pick up our cameras and follow it. That’s what we did.”

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter, airing on Jan. 6 and 7, picks up with that phone call, which led...

‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace’ Revelations and a Twist Ending That Shocked Production
Image
The second season of ID’s The Curious Case of Natalia Grace concluded Wednesday night with a surprise ending that left audiences with even more questions about the story of Ukrainian orphan Natalia Grace.

The six-episode series, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks, is a follow-up to the 2023 docuseries that focused on Natalia’s adoptive parents, Kristine and Michael Barnett, and their claim that the child, who’d been diagnosed with the rare dwarfism condition spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, was actually an adult woman who terrorized their family from 2010 to 2013.

Over the course of the three-night special, Natalia tells her side of the story as she seeks to find answers to questions of her own about her real age and why no one in the Indiana community where she alleges she was in fact victimized by the Barnetts intervened, including Michael, whom she confronts face-to-face for the first time...

Natalia Grace Tells Her Side of the Story on ID Followup Series
L'énigme Natalia Grace (2023)
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace burst onto screens earlier this year and told the story we'd heard so much about.

Missing from the story was Natalia's input, as we were essentially told one side of a story, which doesn't always give the whole picture.

Natalia's adoptive father, Michael Barnett, was front and center throughout the initial run, revealing how he and his then-wife came to be in the care of Natalia.

On The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks, we'll see Natalia reunited with Michael as they go through the bombshells from the first season, with Natalie offering input.

The next chapter "offers exclusive access to Natalia Grace Barnett as she shares her story and confronts her former adoptive parents Michael and Kristine Barnett's accusations head on," ID teases.

Throughout six parts, we see Natalia open up about her adoption saga and her family's allegations from Natalia's perspective,...
