Jenna Ortega has once again proved that dark style can be sophisticated. The ‘Wednesday‘ star captivated on the purple carpet at the world premiere of the show’s second season, held on Wednesday 30 July at the iconic Central Hall Westminster in London. Image
Legendary filmmaker Tim Burton and Beetlejuice Beetlejuicestar Jenna Ortega talk about another potential sequel.

Really? Nobody told me. Maybe I've been replaced," Burton said regarding the notion. "Maybe I’ve been, too," Ortega added.

"It took 35 years to make the second one, so by that time I’ll be 105," Burton continued. "I know those odds are not good. I really, really enjoyed making this one, and [Warner Bros.] didn’t even really want to do it. We did it the same way I did the first one, with the actors doing improv. It was beautiful to see some of the old cast and have Jenna. But it’s like trying to re-create the Wednesday dance scene. I love the characters, but...

Wednesday Keeps Dimming the One Character Who Could Go Nuclear
Image
Enid Sinclair might just be one of the most powerful characters in Netflix‘s Wednesday. But the show keeps pushing her into the background. With her newfound strength and her ability to connect with Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), Enid has everything it takes to steal the spotlight. However, she’s mostly stuck playing sidekick. She’s here only supporting Wednesday’s story without her moment to truly shine.

The new Season 2 trailer dropped a surprise twist. It includes a glimpse of Enid’s gravestone and Wednesday’s words, “Enid dies, and it’s all my fault.” That’s a huge shock to fans who have loved Enid since season 1. But if this isn’t just one of her eerie visions, it could mean the show is about to write off its brightest character. And honestly, this would be a massive missed opportunity.

Enid and Wednesday’s relationship takes center stage in the Wednesday season 2 trailer
Image
The arrival of the Wednesday season 2 trailer raises several questions, from Addams family secrets to the reveal that one of Wednesday's most trusted friends may not be alive for much longer, and Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) herself could be responsible.

Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), and Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) are all set to make a splash at Nevermore Academy as they step into larger roles in the series, but perhaps the standout moment of the trailer is the revelation that Wednesday has a vision that she will eventually be the cause of Enid's untimely death.

From the look of the trailer, season 2 may be focusing on Wednesday and Enid's relationship as the core of the series. The season 2 trailer suggests that the season may be mostly about Wednesday's quest to save Enid (Emma Myers) from a deadly fate.

But Enid's questionable destiny is not the only thing that Wednesday...

Wednesday season 2 trailer shows Jenna Ortega on a mission to save her best friend
Jenna Ortega at an event for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)
Jenna Ortega returns as the delightfully morbid and gloomy Wednesday Addams in the new trailer for Wednesday season 2. She's joined by the rest of the Addams family, including the return of Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Fred Armisen as Lurch. and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams—who begins his own Nevermore Academy journey. The Addams family will expand this season, introducing equally kooky additions such as Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump.

Ortega herself has promised that season 2 will forgo the cheesy love triangle stuff in favor of a more horror-focused season, and the trailer does a great job of highlighting the tonal shift. It appears that the fan-favorite friendship between Wednesday and her roommate/bestie Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) will be front and center this time around. I'm sure those who ship the "Wenclair" pairing will be happy to see how...

Jenna Ortega Plots to Save Enid After Visions of Her Death in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer

Mystery and mayhem abound in Netflix’s official trailer for Wednesday Season Two. The trailer starts with a clip similar to that of the teaser released in April, with Wednesday’s mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) commenting that her daughter Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) returning to Nevermore Academy marks the first time she elected to go back to a school of her own accord. Wednesday likens it to “Returning to the scene of the crime. I already know where all the bodies are buried.”

Wednesday Is On A Quest to Save Enid in Action-Packed Season 2 Trailer
Image
After a long wait, Netflix is gearing up to release Wednesday Season 2. With a two-part season split, the Jenna Ortega-led series will feature a major change.

Wednesday Season 1 premiered in 2022. However, it took a long time for Netflix to confirm a release date for the second season. Luckily, in the last few months, the streamer has been treating fans to little snippets of what to expect from the darker, less romance-focused second installment. Now, the streamer has finally dropped the official trailer for Season 2.

The new trailer shows Wednesday returning to Nevermore Academy for the new academic year, marking the first time she "willingly" went back to any school. However, that doesn't come without some peril. Following her return, she realizes she's a legend among her new peers. But things take a turn when Wednesday has a vision of her best friend and roommate, Enid Sinclair, dying.
