Season 2 of Netflix’s hit Addams Family series Wednesday started filming in Ireland last May, wrapping production at the end of November. The streaming service recently announced that season 2 of the show will be split into two batches. The first part will start streaming on August 6th. The second half will come along on September 3rd, another Wednesday. That decision came less than three months after the eight-episode Season 1 premiered. It eventually became the most-watched original series ever on the streamer, with more than 252 million views to date, far surpassing Stranger Things Season 4, Dahmer, and Season 1 of Bridgerton on the all-time list.

Season 1 received 12 Emmy nominations, including for Ortega in Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She became just the third Latina ever to be nominated in a leading actress category. The series won four Emmys, though Ortega lost out to Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson on Emmy night.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder has unveiled a number of new cast members joining season two of the hit Netflix drama.

First-look images of Wednesday star Emma Myers were also released as she returns to the role of Pip Fitz-Amobi, based on the character from Holly Jackson’s bestselling novels.

The BBC, Netflix and ZDFneo confirmed on Monday that Misia Butler (Kaos) is set to feature as Stanley Forbes and Eden Hambelton Davies (Tell Me Everything) as Jamie Reynolds, brother of Connor (played by Jude Morgan-Collie). Jack Rowan (Noughts and Crosses) will also star as Charlie Green, Pip’s new neighbor who is drawn into the heart of the mystery unravelling in Kilton.

Season two will also see Anna Brindle (The Outs), Peter Sullivan (Around The World In 80 Days), Freddie Thorp (Fate: The Winx Saga), Lu Corfield (The Crow Girl), Stephanie Street (Breathtaking) and Freddie England join the cast in key roles.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, based on Holly Jackson’s 2019 novel of the same name, debuted last year to critical acclaim. Currently holds an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the show will now be getting a sequel, based on Jackson’s second novel in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood.

Starring Wednesday star Emma Myers in the lead once again, the old cast will be returning in the six-episode season, picking up right after the events of the first season. Now forced to deal with the repercussions of finding the truth behind Andie Bell’s murder, Season 2 promises to push the stakes even further.
