12 years ago, Anand L Rai brought a Tamilian boy who conquered the hearts of the Hindi audiences with his performance as Kundan in the romantic drama film and became Raanjhanaa.

Dhanush, who first collaborated with Anand L Rai for Raanjhanaa and then for Atrangi Re, starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan, is now joining hands with the director for his 3rd collaboration, and the film is titled “Tere Ishk Mein.“

Earlier, the makers released a teaser featuring Dhanush, and now they have added a voiceover for an actress; she is anticipated to be Param Sundari, Kriti Sanon.

In June 2023, Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush announced their third collaboration, Tere Ishk Mein, following the success of Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. However, nearly a year has passed since the announcement with little to no development on the project, sparking numerous rumors about its status. According to Peepingmoon, the film is still on but has faced production delays.

Sources indicate that Dhanush’s commitments to his Tamil films have caused the postponement of Tere Ishk Mein. “Dhanush has several prior commitments down south that he wants to complete before dedicating two months to Aanand L. Rai’s film. The director acknowledged his concern and has agreed to wait for him. They’re now aiming to start the film around October–November 2024,” a source revealed. The film will be shot in a two-month, continuous schedule in Varanasi and other locations in Uttar Pradesh, with a theatrical release targeted for mid-2025.

Aanand L Rai, the director-producer behind films like Raanjhanaa, Tanu Weds Manu and Zero, has teamed up with Jio Studios for his next venture, Nakhrewaalii. The film is touted to be a comic entertainer directed by Rahul Shanklya, who has previously worked with Rai as an associate director on Nil Battey Sannata and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The film will introduce a fresh face to Bollywood, Ansh Duggal, who will play the lead role.

The film went on floors on Monday, June 28, which also happened to be Rai’s birthday. The filmmaker celebrated his special day by doing what he loves the most – making films. He took to his Instagram account to share a picture of himself holding the clapboard of Nakhrewaalii along with the caption, “Birthday pe kaam kiya hai… aur kaam se hi khush hoon (I worked on my birthday… and I am happy with my work).”

Marrakech (Morocco), Sep 19 (Ians) Paralympic Games silver medallist high jumper Nishad Kumar set a new Asian record while Neeraj Yadav set a new National Record on his way to gold in the Marrakech Para Athletics Grand Prix in Morocco.

On the final day, Neeraj won the gold medal in the discus throw F55/56 category as India ended the prestigious meet with 19 medals — eight gold, eight silver and three bronze medals. Nishad won silve and set the new record in the process.

Ajeet Kumar won gold in the javelin throw F46 category while compatriot and two-time Paralympic gold medallist Devendra Jhajaria won silver.

Ramsinghbhai Govindbhai won gold in long jump T42 as did Vinay Kumar Lal in men’s 400m T20/35/36/44 as did Deepthi Jeevanji in women’s 400m T-13/20/37.

Ambala, Aug 12 (Ians) The second leg of the Great Indian Run was flagged-off from Saini Bhawan, G.T. Road, Ambala on Friday.

The run celebrates the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The run builds on the success of the first chapter of the Great India Run held in 2016. The relay-run will cover 829 kilometers across 4 states from Srinagar to New Delhi from August 5 to August 15.

The Flag-off in Ambala was done by former cabinet minister Venod Sharma, Mayor Ambala Shakti Rani Sharma and Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma.

The ceremony was attended by Olympic bronze medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, former Indian cricketer and Bcci selector Reetinder Singh Sodhi, renowned para-athletes Simran Vats, Neeraj Yadav and Asian bronze medalist rower Rohit Kumar.
