Samsung has today (January 21) announced a new version of the Galaxy S3 Mini with support for Near Field Communications (Nfc). The Nfc-enabled Galaxy S3 Mini allows users to share content, such as photos, videos or music, much more quickly and easily. It comes with Samsung's S Beam technology that enables 10Mb music files to be shared just by tapping another S Beam-enabled device, such as the larger Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2. This means that files can be transferred even when the user does not have WiFi or cellular signal. By combining Nfc with WiFi Direct, S Beam can also send much larger files between phones, such as videos and images. Samsung has announced the UK release date for its Galaxy Note 2. The hybrid tablet will be available from the Samsung Brand Store at Westfield, Stratford City on October 1, before going on general sale shortly after. Samsung Electronics has today announced the forthcoming Galaxy Pocket, a budget Android-powered smartphone. The Galaxy Pocket has a 2.8-inch display and upgraded Samsung TouchWiz user interface.
