Barton Cuong Williams is an Australian Vietnamese actor, writer, and educator based in Chicago, USA. He is celebrated for his contributions to both the arts and education.
Born in Saigon during the Vietnam War, Barton was transported in a cardboard box to Australia through an initiative called Operation Babylift. He was adopted and raised in Adelaide, South Australia and his experiences of intercountry adoption inspired his children's picture book, But What Are You? which addresses themes of identity and sense of belonging. The book has been praised for its heartfelt storytelling and has been made available as an audiobook on platforms like Amazon.
In addition to his writing, Barton has had a diverse career in the entertainment industry.
