Caroline Oakes
Caroline grew up in Chorley a market town in the North West, where she didn't get into acting until her early twenties. She just hadn't had the opportunity in a small town, however she got herself involved in acting lessons and singing lessons and joined CADOS amateur dramatic Society, where although she never got on stage she worked behind the scenes and learnt a great deal about how shows work in Theatre. After a summer there she decided it was time to see if this yearning meant anything and whether she was cut out for it.

She attended Blackpool and the Fylde College where she studied a Diploma in Performing Arts before taking a year out to audition and work towards attending Drama School. Eventually after a year or so she took the decision to accept the offer of Mountview Theatre School, where she studied for 3 years in Acting and Musical Theatre.

During her time at Mountview she along with 9 friends decided to take the show Bad Omens up to Edinburgh Festival, where it gained 4 stars in the Scotsman. She had been bitten by the bug. She loved every minute of it.

After graduating she landed her first theatre role in 1999, where she played Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, UK TIE tour which she thoroughly enjoyed because it meant brandishing a sword and teaching the next generation about Shakespeare and how easy it really is. Then a year later she played co-lead Cassie in Skin Hunger at the Time Out Critics Choice season BAC, London. More recently she has toured in numerous plays up and down the country in No1 Tours. As well as theatre she has performed in Short films for UK Festivals in particular BFI and voiced numerous ads for radio and TV and is also an avid role player for St Georges Hospital in London.

Two years ago she became a mum for the first time to her wonderful daughter Jessica and has taken time out to be with her. She wonders what she did with her time, exhausting but worth it. A total joy to be around. She is married to Martin who is not in the trade thank god and he is her rock and biggest fan.
