AJ Nickell was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, where he attended a performing arts high school. In the summer of 2013, Nickell trained at the Stella Adler Studio of New York. In his senior year of high school, he was one of twenty-one theatre artists to win at YoungArts (2015). Nickell has worked in theatre, television, and film.
Nickell is at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts studying acting.
