"We often laugh actually, while we're doing it. We crack up and then and do retakes," he tells Gold Derby. "It's been an extraordinary show to work on, not only because the material is very good and obviously the character is just a dream. But it's been really made all the more special because of the people working on the show. And that is really across the board from makeup, costume, Dp, camera operator, clapper loader, although they're not really clapper loaders anymore," he says. "I love regrouping after a break and then getting back and seeing everyone. The set is very easy to work on in that respect. Just an incredible bunch of people and that really has made it, I think, one of the highlights of my career.

The Sandman fans got the bad news that one of their favorite shows would not be renewed after a second season long ago. The series was popular, so that wasn't the issue. The problem might stem from the artistic differences between Netflix and show creator Neil Gaiman.

The accusations of assault and abuse against him, which he has denied, might have also come into play, but we likely will never know. What we do know is that the second season of The Sandman will be its last.

The last season will be split into two parts, which has become a common practice at Netflix that is being followed by Wednesday, Squid Game, and Stranger Things, and the first part will arrive on July 3. The second part will drop on July 24. The good news is that there will be a bonus episode that will arrive on July 31.

Netflix recently unveiled the first trailer and release dates for The Sandman season 2, which will be split into two parts. The 6-episode Volume 1 premieres on July 3, and the 5-episode Volume 2 arrives on July 24.

Now, the streamer has officially revealed the titles for each episode, and this final season will include a bonus instalment based on Death: The High Cost of Living.

This spin-off tale was hinted at in a deleted scene from the first season, when Death tells her little brother Morpheus that she used to take human form once every century in an attempt to remain grounded and in touch with humanity.

In the episode, "The Sound of Her Wings," Death reveals that she used to be a lot more, well, grim about her reaping, but an encounter with her human counterpart gave way to her far sunnier disposition.

Netflix has also shared new stills for each of the 12 episodes.

Surprise! In announcing titles for the 11 episodes from the second and final season of The Sandman, the Netflix fantasy series revealed a bonus standalone episode. It will be released after the previously set drops of Volume 1 (Episodes 1-6) on July 3 and Volume 2 (Episodes 7-11) on July 24.

Episode 11 will still serve as a series finale, bringing Dream’s (Tom Sturridge) story to conclusion. The bonus episode, which will debut a week later, on July 31, follows his sibling Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste).

It is unclear whether it had been crafted with a potential spinoff in mind or just as an extra for fans following the pattern of Season 1, which also had a bonus episode.

Caught in the controversy surrounding sexual assault and misconduct allegations against Neil Gaiman, who co-developed and executive produced the TV series based on his DC comics, The Sandman announced in January that the upcoming second season would be its last.

“The Sandman” is still ending with Season 2, but fans will be getting one more episode than they thought.

Netflix revealed on Tuesday that, in addition to the 11 episodes already announced, a bonus twelfth episode will drop on July 31. The bonus episode is titled “The Sandman Presents: Death: The High Cost of Living” and will focus on the character Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste).

As previously announced, the first six episodes of Season 2 will debut on July 3, with the next five premiering on July 24. Netflix has also revealed the 11 titles for those episodes, which can be seen below.

Season 2 will bring several fan-favorite storylines from the comics to life, including the “Season of Mists,” “Brief Lives,” “The Kindly Ones,” and “The Sandman: Overture” collections. Disney+'s Andor recurring co-star, Joplin Sibtain, who played Brasso, is taking a trip to Westeros in House of the Dragon. His character in the science fiction series, which is part of the Star Wars franchise, was Cassian Andor's co-worker and friend. After having a devastating role to play in a Season 2 episode, the actor is now joining the cast of George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal's series.

According to Deadline, Sibtain recently snagged a role in Season 3 of House of the Dragon. He's among a few new cast additions to the fantasy drama, which debuted in 2022 on HBO. Sibtain will play Ser "Bold" Jon Roxton, and Tom Cullen will play Ser Luthor Largent. Meanwhile, Barry Sloane, who played Aiden Mathis in 43 episodes of ABC's Revenge, will play Ser Adrian Redfort. The new season of Doctor Who will feature a Eurovision parody episode guest-starring Graham Norton. The talk show personality, author, comedian, and Eurovision host will appear alongside Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor in the episode.

This news comes to us from the BBC. Showrunner Russell T Davies has confirmed that Norton will have no small part in the episode. Davies noted that Norton’s episode would be the "wildest" of Gatwa’s second season, titled, "The Interstellar Song Contest." It is due to release on May 17th.

In a statement, Davies said the following: “There’s no song contest without the great man himself, and it was an honor to welcome Graham Norton to our studios in Cardiff. And it’s not just a cameo, he has a whole plot twist all to himself! This is the wildest episode of all, and we’re lucky to have Graham adding to the mayhem.

A spin-off coming from George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones universe, House of the Dragon currently has 18 episodes as of the time of writing, but more are to come in the near future.

Namely, we know that the series has been renewed for a third season, but we can now confirm that production on that third season has started, and that some new cast members have been added.
