Rosalind Eleazar captures the grief hidden beneath MI5 outcast Louisa Guy’s steely exterior with a subtle and restrained touch that reveals Louisa's grief in flickers. Her performance isn't overplayed; it's deeply felt, letting quiet glances and restrained gestures speak volumes about her character's inner turmoil in the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ spy thriller Slow Horses.
"She is one of the more grounded characters, but I do think her internal life is incredibly chaotic. She's a hard shell and it takes time for us to see glimpses of her," Eleazar tells Gold Derby. "I've had fun teasing her out over the seasons, and we get to know her better, more and more, but I think she's a loner. I don't think she has many friends. I think she has shut herself off to the potential of love or happiness in some way. Sometimes I think her groundedness is actually her protecting herself,...

Gary Oldman is clearly having a ball playing the gruff, ill-mannered and often underestimated Jackson Lamb in the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ spy thriller Slow Horses.
"We often laugh actually, while we're doing it. We crack up and then and do retakes," he tells Gold Derby. "It's been an extraordinary show to work on, not only because the material is very good and obviously the character is just a dream. But it's been really made all the more special because of the people working on the show. And that is really across the board from makeup, costume, Dp, camera operator, clapper loader, although they're not really clapper loaders anymore," he says. "I love regrouping after a break and then getting back and seeing everyone. The set is very easy to work on in that respect. Just an incredible bunch of people and that really has made it, I think, one of the highlights of my career.

The Sandman fans got the bad news that one of their favorite shows would not be renewed after a second season long ago. The series was popular, so that wasn't the issue. The problem might stem from the artistic differences between Netflix and show creator Neil Gaiman.
The accusations of assault and abuse against him, which he has denied, might have also come into play, but we likely will never know. What we do know is that the second season of The Sandman will be its last.
The last season will be split into two parts, which has become a common practice at Netflix that is being followed by Wednesday, Squid Game, and Stranger Things, and the first part will arrive on July 3. The second part will drop on July 24. The good news is that there will be a bonus episode that will arrive on July 31.

Netflix recently unveiled the first trailer and release dates for The Sandman season 2, which will be split into two parts. The 6-episode Volume 1 premieres on July 3, and the 5-episode Volume 2 arrives on July 24.
Now, the streamer has officially revealed the titles for each episode, and this final season will include a bonus instalment based on Death: The High Cost of Living.
This spin-off tale was hinted at in a deleted scene from the first season, when Death tells her little brother Morpheus that she used to take human form once every century in an attempt to remain grounded and in touch with humanity.
In the episode, "The Sound of Her Wings," Death reveals that she used to be a lot more, well, grim about her reaping, but an encounter with her human counterpart gave way to her far sunnier disposition.
Netflix has also shared new stills for each of the 12 episodes.

Surprise! In announcing titles for the 11 episodes from the second and final season of The Sandman, the Netflix fantasy series revealed a bonus standalone episode. It will be released after the previously set drops of Volume 1 (Episodes 1-6) on July 3 and Volume 2 (Episodes 7-11) on July 24.
Episode 11 will still serve as a series finale, bringing Dream’s (Tom Sturridge) story to conclusion. The bonus episode, which will debut a week later, on July 31, follows his sibling Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste).
It is unclear whether it had been crafted with a potential spinoff in mind or just as an extra for fans following the pattern of Season 1, which also had a bonus episode.
Caught in the controversy surrounding sexual assault and misconduct allegations against Neil Gaiman, who co-developed and executive produced the TV series based on his DC comics, The Sandman announced in January that the upcoming second season would be its last.

Come July 3, The Sandman Season 2 Volume 1 will premiere on Netflix as the adventures of the Dream King continue in what will be part of the last batch of episodes released. Season 2, Volume 2 will release on July 24th to mark the official end of the series. After the show's first season, it was clear that it was a show quite loved by fans, but the streamer wasn't exactly quick to renew. A Season 2 renewal eventually arrived, but earlier this year, it was announced that the show's upcoming episodes would be its last, following series creator Neil Gaiman being accused by several women of sexual assault.
Ahead of the series' return, showrunner Allan Heinberg responded to claims that the show's ending was a result of the allegations made against Gaiman. Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Heinberg reveals that the decision to end the series with Season 2 was actually made three years ago.

Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies has broken his silence about the return of classic series villain The Rani in the latest episode. Archie Panjabi made her debut as renegade Time Lady The Rani in "The Interstellar Song Contest."
A mid-credits scene in Saturday's (May 17) revealed that Mrs. Flood (Anita Dobson) was actually The Rani hiding in plain sight from old nemesis The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa). Along with The Doctor, Mrs. Flood was sucked into the vastness of space in a terrorist attack at the Song Contest by two Hellions — Kid (Freddie Fox) and Wynn Aura-Kin (Iona Anderson). Although Mrs. Flood was eventually revived, she lamented that the damage to her "double brain steam" meant she'd have to regenerate.

Despite finding himself in the middle of the "Doctor Who" take on what the Eurovision song contest looks like in 2925, the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) isn't a particularly happy camper in "The Interstellar Song Contest." Much of this is because Freddie Fox's Hellion terrorist Kid invades the control room mid-party and quite literally empties the space station arena by opening the roof. If sucking 100,000 effectively dead contestants and audience members into the "mavity" bubble (the show has really committed to the gravity name change bit from the "Doctor Who" 60th Anniversary Special "WIld Blue Yonder") surrounding the station is bad, though, Kid's intention to kill over three trillion home viewers is something else entirely.

Dream will continue his journey through the cosmos after almost three years. Based on Neil Gaiman’s DC comic series, the first season of The Sandman was much loved by the viewers for the way it balanced dark fantasy and supernatural horror. The show follows Morpheus (aka Dream), the anthropomorphic personification of dreams and stories, as he rebuilds his realm after a century of imprisonment, with the story exploring a ton of myths and family drama.
Now, the finale season is almost here. Showrunners Allan Heinberg, David S. Goyer, and Neil Gaiman will soon bring Dream’s story to an end, but not before one last ride. Here’s everything you need to know before The Sandman returns.

One of the finest additions to the world of fantasy dramas, The Sandman lore has been amusing fans for ages — first through its comic book series, which was released in 1989, and then its live-action adaptation in the form of a television series, which first debuted on the screens in 2022. But it is not done leaving fans at the edge of their seats just yet.
That said, fans of the live-action saga might as well rejoice once again, for the masterpiece series will soon be returning with its second season to the television screens. And, this time around, it is expected to bring about even more entertainment than before as it seems to be here to school every fantasy drama a thing or two on sibling rivalry.

Netflix will release the second and final season of “The Sandman” in two volumes: the first six episodes will premiere on July 3, followed by the final five episodes on July 24.
The dark fantasy series was cancelled in the wake of the disturbing allegations against Neil Gaiman — who developed and executive produced the show in addition to writing the comic on which it’s based — but the new season promises to bring Dream’s story arc to its thrilling conclusion.

The new season of Doctor Who will feature a Eurovision parody episode guest-starring Graham Norton. The talk show personality, author, comedian, and Eurovision host will appear alongside Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor in the episode.
This news comes to us from the BBC. Showrunner Russell T Davies has confirmed that Norton will have no small part in the episode. Davies noted that Norton’s episode would be the "wildest" of Gatwa’s second season, titled, "The Interstellar Song Contest." It is due to release on May 17th.
In a statement, Davies said the following: “There’s no song contest without the great man himself, and it was an honor to welcome Graham Norton to our studios in Cardiff. And it’s not just a cameo, he has a whole plot twist all to himself! This is the wildest episode of all, and we’re lucky to have Graham adding to the mayhem.

In the upcoming second season of Doctor Who, Andor star Varada Sethu returns to the series as the Doctor's new companion, Belinda Chandra.
Sethu recently caught up with Radio Times (via SFFGazette.com) and shared her thoughts on fans saying the long-running sci-fi series has gone "woke" with its inclusive casting (which has been at the forefront since Russell T. Davies returned to the show).
"Woke just means inclusive, progressive and that you care about people," she said. "And, as far as I know, the core of Doctor Who is kindness, love and doing the right thing."
The fact Sethu, who is British-Indian, is being paired with lead star Ncuti Gatwa means Doctor Who season 2 will be the first time two people of color have piloted the Tardis together since the series' creation. House of the Dragon marked the first spin-off in the Game of Thrones franchise, and the series received positive reviews. However, author George R.R. Martin criticized the changes in Season 2.
Although Martin praised House of the Dragon Season 2's "magnificent" beginning, the author later posted a blog review in late August 2024 to address "everything that's gone wrong with House of the Dragon." He published a follow-up several days later in early September, criticizing the adaptation and the character omissions and changes. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal addressed his criticism for the first time.
"It was disappointing," Condal admitted about Martin's words. "I will simply say I've been a fan of A Song of Ice and Fire for almost 25 years now, and working on the show has been truly one of the great privileges of, not only my career as a writer,...

House of the Dragon began in 2022 and after two seasons, it has received praise for its production, story, and cast performances. And while not every moment from the series has been universally lauded, HBO can still consider this series a hit.
A spin-off coming from George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones universe, House of the Dragon currently has 18 episodes as of the time of writing, but more are to come in the near future.
Namely, we know that the series has been renewed for a third season, but we can now confirm that production on that third season has started, and that some new cast members have been added.
