While the Rotten Tomatoes score for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has fallen, audiences have nevertheless been enjoying the film much more than critics.

After initially debuting just above 60% with its Rotten Tomatoes score, which had just put the film into the "Fresh" status, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has since dropped to a "Rotten" score of 55%. However, the audience score on the review aggregator website is much higher, currently at 92%. This audience score is now the highest of any MonsterVerse movie, getting the record by one point over the film's predecessor, Godzilla vs. Kong, which has 76% and 91% scores.
