The Plastic Men is a riveting new take on the Ptsd drama. A psychological horror with a slight romance angle, Samuel Gonzalez Jr.’s new film is back and forth haunting and harrowing.

Eased in with a William Fichtner narration, The Plastic Men opens with a lengthy pre-title-sequence on the great open road. Banter between the boys turns to bloodshed when tragedy strikes, eventually leading to Vietnam deployment. What was temporarily a light-hearted adventure couldn’t be further from what follows: literally hell.

Presented as being based on a true story, Vietnam veteran Johnathan Teller (James Preston) is struggling with his return to normal life. Jonathan has left the war, but the war hasn’t left him. Each day is a flashback, each day is torture.

Alpha Rift director Dan Lantz’s horror film Hayride to Hell is a movie we seem to hear about once a year. Back in 2022, it had a sold out premiere screening at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania – the same theatre that served as a memorable filming location for the 1958 classic The Blob. In 2023, it received a wider theatrical release a week and a half before Halloween. Can you tell us a bit about your character DJ in "The Wrath of Becky" and how you prepared for the role?

Oh man, another bottom-of-the-barrel piece of patriotic filth who uses crude comedy and a "devil may care" attitude to hide behind his insecurities and small dick…My Favorite! When the movie premiered at SXSW, I joked about how I got a Vpn and Tor browser and went onto Reddit-type echo chambers that spewed white supremacy hate, but that was a joke. I'm from Virginia and have family from North Carolina. I'm not saying that the South is entirely racist, but I've been around these types of people. And without calling out specifically who, I will say that I modeled DJ after a family member. I studied the script over and over and made some bold choices.

This will be Aaron Dalla Villa’s first album, a 9 song comedy rap album based on his following sketch characters: meme rapper Tucci Badaducci, Tucci’s terrible manager Vinnie Viddicci, and rival rapper Smooth Bobby. These characters can also be seen in the 8 episode web series, for which he starred in and executive produced alongside Logan Riley Bruner (Stranger Things), on Youtube.

Where 2020's "Becky" is an underage child's fight for survival based on primal instincts, Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote's sequel "The Wrath of Becky" plays more like a comic book panel massacre. That's not a bad thing if you're into watching a Girl Scout assassin brutalize Proud Boys lookalikes with a smile on her face. Violence emphasizes excessive gore, real bad dudes get what's coming, and the action hero mold is flipped on its head with Becky front and center. Angel and Coote brighten the mood versus "Becky" and embrace the B-movie nature of Becky's somewhat unstoppable spree. Still, this time, there's less suspenseful impact by trading feral ferocity for this almost superhero nature that leans into Becky's franchise potential.

When we last left “Becky” (starring an extraordinary Lulu Wilson), she’d managed to off an entire cell of neo-Nazis, ingeniously and gruesomely plotting their deaths after she and her ill-fated dad ran afoul of the baddies during the world’s worst family vacation. Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion’s icky “Becky” didn’t do much more than deliver on the promise of turning a teenage girl into a righteous murderer — and, again, what luck to have cast the plucky and spunky Wilson in the title role — but it did feel as if there was more ground to cover (and more blood to spill).

Thus: Sequel! “The Wrath of Becky,” which arrives just three years after Milott and Murnion’s indie hit, certainly offers more — it’s also more of the same.

Lulu Wilson tapped into a primal ferocity for her turn as the enraged teen taking down violent home intruders in 2020’s Becky. Its follow-up, The Wrath of Becky, reveals that the time passed between films hasn’t diminished the teen’s volatile rage in the slightest. Armed with John Wick-like motivation, Becky plunges into a new vengeful quest that provokes more violence, bloodletting, and a higher body count. This time a more well-rounded sense of humor offsets her wrath.

Writer/Directors Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote recalibrate the tone straightaway with a humorous reintroduction to the title character. It’s been two years since the events of the first film, and Becky’s been humoring foster families before quickly dodging them. Eventually, Becky and her loyal dog Diego get taken in by a kind older woman (Denise Burse), who never asks questions and isn’t phased by Becky’s survivalist training.

Becky is back! Although there isn’t any release information on The Wrath of Becky, a sequel to the very cool “ultra violent Home Alone” thriller Becky, which was released in 2020, the folks at IGN managed to get the exclusive first look at a teaser trailer for the film. An quick trailer has been released for the home invasion revenge horror film The Wrath of Becky, from filmmakers Matt Angel & Suzanne Coote. The film is actually a sequel to the 2020 film Becky (described as a "drive-in sensation"), and actress Lulu Wilson returns to star as the titular character. Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman - a kindred spirit named Elena. But when a group known as the "Noble Men" break in, attack them, and take her beloved dog, Diego, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones. We still haven’t heard any release information on The Wrath of Becky, a sequel to the very cool “ultra violent Home Alone” thriller Becky (watch it Here, read the 9/10 review the film received from our own Lance Vlcek Here)… but while we wait for that information, the producers at Yale Productions have unveiled a poster for the film, and you can check that out at the bottom of this article.

It’s that time again. Another year has come to an end. Another decade, even. We defied the odds and live to fight another day, just like horror cinema proved itself – once again – a genre that continues to survive, adapt and thrive. Even at that, 2019 was an odd year for horror in that mainstream titles featuring household villains ended up leaving less of a mark than so many vastly different indies (in my opinion). If anything, 2019 was a reminder of the tremendous diversity among horror subgenres that offer a cornucopia of terror.
