Biography

Nectarios Theodorou is a versatile actor and performer with an impressive background in theatre, television, and film across Cyprus, Greece, and the UK. He holds a BA (Hons) in European Culture from Hellenic Open University and a BA (Hons) in Acting from the School of Dramatic Arts Iasmos in Athens. He further honed his craft with a postgraduate degree in Creating Theatre and Performance from the London International School of Performing Arts, receiving a scholarship from the A.G. Leventis Foundation.

With over 50 theatre productions to his name, Nectarios has showcased his talent in a wide range of genres, including ancient drama, musicals, modern drama, comedy, and physical theatre. His television career includes leading roles in several successful series for the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, while his film work spans numerous short and feature films featured at international film festivals.

Nectarios has received critical acclaim for his performances, earning a Best Actor nomination at the National Theatre of Cyprus (THOC) Awards (2014-2015) for his role in "The 39 Steps". He also won the Best Movement Direction Award for the musical "The Madam's Family". Most recently, he was selected to participate in Milo Rau's Research Workshop at the Venice Biennale 2022, where he explored the transposition of personal experience into theatrical text.
