Michael Whalley(I)

Since graduating from Toi Whakaari: The New Zealand Drama School, Michael Whalley has established a fine career in film, theatre and television in New Zealand and Australia. Michael's film credits include Angelina Jolie's Unbroken, Slow West with Michael Fassbender and Ben Mendelsohn, and the lead role in the Australian film The Pretend One. For the small screen - The Principal (SBS) Channel 7's Wanted and Lippy Pictures telefeatures Pirates of the Airwaves, Field Punishment No. 1 and Jean, which swept up 9 awards at the New York Film and Television Festivals. He is most known internationally for his character Flynn in the US series Legend of the Seeker.



Theatre credits include Hir (Belvoir) (Sydney Theatre Award Best Supporting Actor) Threepenny Opera (Malthouse), Muriel's Wedding (STC) as 'Perry Heslop'. He is currently playing the role of Ron Weasley with the Australian cast of Harry Potter.
