The Dead Thing opens with an extended montage that gives us a look at Alex and the dead-end routine that takes up her waking hours. Her job is a dead-end position that has something to do with layouts and printing and her social life is a stream of one-nighters arraigned via a hookup app named Friktion, a name that’s meant to evoke the feeling of skin on skin, but serves as an omen of the conflict it’s about to bring her way.

Throw in some Uv light therapy and avoiding her roommate Kara and that’s her existence, I say existence, because it seems a bit of a stretch to call it living. For all intents and purposes, she could be the dead thing the title speaks of.

All eyes are on the alternate poster for The Dead Thing, pictured below. The erotic thriller drops February 14 on Shudder.

The film will also screen on 35mm at New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles on February 6, IFC Center in New York City on February 11, and Music Box Theatre in Chicago on March 7 and 8 with more cities to be announced.

Dating is brutal, right? In Shudder's upcoming The Dead Thing, it's also terrifying. The streaming platform has now released a trailer for the upcoming horror outing. The indie feature debuted at the Fantasia Film Festival last year before making its way to London's FrightFest and the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. While there will be plenty of Valentine's Day movie offerings across streamers, The Dead Thing promises a scary date night when it lands on Shudder on February 14.

Directed by Elric Kane (best known for hosting the podcasts Pure Cinema and Colors of the Dark), the indie thriller follows a young woman named Alex (Blu Hunt), who is disillusioned with dating until she meets a charming man named Kyle (Ben Smith-Petersen). A passionate night ensues, but things get eerie quickly after Kyle vanishes. Following the controversial installments of Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Megaforce, Power Rangers Dino Charge was a return to form for the Power Rangers franchise. Spearheaded by the returning Chip Lynn as the head writer, both Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Dino Supercharge feature strong stories, a wonderful cast, awesome Zord action, and a host of lovable characters.

Dino Charge is one of the best Power Rangers seasons of the 2010s, with some of the strongest episodes. Characters like Tyler, Shelby, Ivan, and Koda are all-time great Rangers, while Sledge and Heckyl rank among the franchise's best villains, with all of them receiving spectacular storylines. Only it’s run by a private company and Warden Devlin is as corrupt as any of the inmates.

Tubi has announced sci-fi action film “Corrective Measures,” based on Grant Chastain’s graphic novel of the same name, which will star Bruce Willis and Michael Rooker and premiere in spring 2022.

Sean Patrick O’Reilly of “Howard Lovecraft” and “The Kingdom of Madness” will write, direct and produce the film, which is set in San Tiburon, the world’s most dangerous maximum-security penitentiary. The plot follows the monsters, cyborgs, and supervillains incarcerated in the prison, including wealthy genius Julius “The Lobe” Loeb (Willis) and corrupt warden Devlin (Rooker), who is after The Lobe’s riches. Dan Payne (“Watchmen”) and Brennan Mejia (“Power Rangers”) appear as Payback and Diego Diaz respectively, who increase tension between inmates and staff until anarchy erupts. Fox-owned AVOD platform Tubi is ramping up its move into originals and a Bruce Willis-fronted sci-fi feature film is its latest project.

The Die Hard star is fronting Corrective Measures, an original feature film for the free platform. Starring alongside Guardians of the Galaxy’s Michael Rooker, the feature film comes from director Sean O’Reilly, whose credits include animated feature Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom and When Calls The Heart.

Based on a graphic novel, the film is set in San Tiburon, the world’s most dangerous maximum-security penitentiary and home to the world’s most treacherous superpowered criminals where tensions among the inmates and staff heighten, leading to anarchy that engulfs the prison and order is turned upside down.

"I knew you'd come back." Uh, hell yes this is awesome! Even Christopher Nolan would be impressed. Five is an action short film made entirely independently by actor / filmmaker Stephen Ford, with the goal of capturing "both the spirit and style of Christopher Nolan's Tenet." With a budget of only $300. We've seen plenty of Star Wars and Batman fan films over and the years, but this is the first one inspired by Tenet so far (that I've come across). And it's damn good! Starring Josh Han, Brennan Mejia, Kasey Landoll, Jb Tadena, Colton Eschief Mastro, Romeo Armand, and "Cerberusarms". It's barely five minutes long and the action is solid and entertaining, the way they play with the forward/backward time gimmick is also impressive (especially without any budget).
